I liked several things about the book. To begin with, the vulnerability of the author was commendable. His heartfelt desire for the intimacy he shared with his father before his demise was palpable. He went in quest of this kind of connection using many ways. He cried himself out at times after every fleeting moment that reminded him of this father-son love. Besides, I enjoyed the adventures and travels as well.

I lost my dad too, and I understand how utterly devastating this can be. Added to that, that the author suffered from PTSD, I can't possibly imagine his suffering.
I hope the author fixes the mistakes you point out because it appears to be a promising story.
Thank you!

I really do like your review. I just don’t read memoirs.

Thank you for your honest review. It is too bad that there were repeated sections and other errors. I hope there is another round of editing. I hope the author has been able to heal from his PTSD and additions.

I think the author is a storyteller. One that clearly knows how to tailor narration to offer great sceneries and adventures in the story.

It is unfortunate the book got a low rating, it seems interesting. How the author is vulnerable and shares his emotions and experiences with the readers is commendable. Good review.

The topic and devotion of the author to his story is fascinating and interesting. I hope the editing is able to cut down the repetition of the narrative, and rework the title into something more memorable/snappy. Nice review work.

Afraid that my opinion about this series I expressed for previous two parts is still the same and therefore this is not my cup of tea and prime example why I don't read non-fiction. It is beyond my understanding why anyone would like to dive into the word of trauma and abuse, knowing all too well that it is a true life story and everything happened to real person. Sorry, but once again I will skip it.

Life isn't always fair, even to the well-intentioned. But I'm so glad the author found a way to live fully and deliberately despite his harsh childhood.

I love that the author is so transparent about his experiences; that is quite admirable. I am also very fond of having photographs included in memoirs, and it sounds like this one has some great snapshots of his life. I am amazed by how the author overcame so much adversity and wrote a book about it to inspire others. Thanks for the wonderful review.

I think that it is not often that we see autobiography authors engage in such honest and blunt introspection. However, I do think it a pity regarding the numerous errors, because personally, it is a huge turn-off. Still, thanks for the review.

Unfortunately, as with the first two volumes in this series, I won't be reading this book. The Official Review is right on the mark. The text is filled with errors, formatting mistakes, and is highly repetitive. The photographs, however, are terrific. I hope that the author turns these books over to a professional proofreader/editor, and perhaps someone who knows a thing or two about formatting text and photos.

How so interesting the series made the book of the day one after another, back to back. Congratulations to the author. Thank you for the review, makes the book a lot fascinating.

This review is great. I just finished reading a free sample, and I agree with the redundant part. And there are significant chunks of text from Wikipedia, I doubt the practice is appropriate for a published book. The author is experience on board is interesting except for the tedious details in the beginning pages.

The 3rd part of this book also seems impressive. However, I don't think it's one of want to read. Thanks for a great review.
