I agree this book could be a great Christian self-help and/or informative book. Daily guided scripture study prompts are a great way for Christians to focus more on the goal to be gained as defined by the prompts. Books being as widely available as they are today help us come to learn all the insight that be gained from all humankind. When people share knowledge with the intention of saving others from pain and suffering, as is this author, I feel there is a great blessing in that knowledge as technology today allows us all to be united and lift each other up, find sources of help beyond our own, and change the world the way it was meant to be. Great review, I can feel your passion for this, for Jesus, for the change you've experienced in your own life, and your desire for others to feel the joy you've felt.

I read the free excerpt, which included the Introduction and first two chapters. Ebenezer is clearly passionate about his faith. I agree that the blood of Jesus is efficacious in purifying us from sin, overcoming death, and forming an everlasting covenant with God. However, I am concerned about how literally he is understanding the "blessings of the blood." In the Introduction, it sounds almost as though he is describing a type of prosperity gospel. He describes walking around his apartment invoking the blood of Christ, and he seems to attribute his improved financial situation to these prayers. Again, I only read the free excerpt, so I can't evaluate more fully, but I do have concerns.

Blessed by the Blood by Samuel M. Ebenezer will be perfect for Christians wishing to understand Jesus' sacrifice better. However, I don't read nonfiction, so I'll probably pass on this book.

This book seems geared toward those who like Christian self-help books. It emphasizes enlightening readers about the most important gift given to man by God: the blood of Jesus Christ.

Nice review! Growing up in Catholic school, you were taught to confess your sins as early as 6 years old. I don't believe that a child has sins to confess at that early age, and I resent them hounding me to have to do it every week. Needless to say, I don't practice my religion anymore.

Sounds like a great book tho.
I always wonder why most Christian-like books, always draw lessons from persecution or losses faced. I am yet to see a Christian book that won't follow this build up. God's wishes only good things for us, and it would be nice if we could change our perspective of Christians always suffering or passing through one bad experiences or the other before the being redeemed by Christ's intervention.

As highlighted in the review, the book is enlightening in a religious way. This is an egregious read for the devoted who wish to better explore certain aspects of faith.

Going over this review, “why it’s so hard to leave sin” would be the most interesting part, potentially: if salvation is indeed so good, and one would think, therefore enticing, why do people fall off the wagon?

Secondly, personally just citations “from the Bible” doesn’t seem like that thorough a treatise: I tend to lend more credibility to those who have studied exegesis or the surrounding history rather than just the text itself.

Even in the Bible, Jesus told His followers they would not be free from suffering and trials. How can Christians learn to live with this fact and still be joyful and thankful for Jesus' sacrifice? I think this book will help many Christians answer this question. Thanks for the review!

"Blessed by the Blood" by Samuel M Ebenezer, a Christian self-help book, shares useful information about the blood of Jesus, the life struggles of the author, and the instrumentality of the precious blood of Jesus. This is a book that I'd love to read. Congratulations to the author on BOTD. Nice review.
