The teenage POV from a different time period is interesting, almost like a time capsule. Thanks for the great review!

I like reading well-written memoirs. It would be interesting to explore James life experiences. Congratulations on BOTD.

I have always had an interest in playing the clarinet but did not follow up the interest, perhaps because I lacked icons to emulate. Thanks for the review.

I liked that James highlighted the issues faced by black students in his book. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of memoirs, so I'll be skipping this book.

Memoirs are one of my least favorite genres. While I do think that Mr. Morgan has some interesting stories I won’t be reading this.

The author is fortunate to have a mother that isn't a racist. There is a lot to learn from James' life experiences. Congratulations on BOTD.

Thanks for your review! It was really interesting to read. I don't usually read biographies, but your review makes me think that I might have to change that. Hoping to read this one soon!

The life of this young man seems to be interesting to read. Racial discrimination should not be condoned in our society. I enjoyed reading your review as it was Insightful.

Unfortunately, subject matter chosen by author for this book is way out of my interest sphere. In fact all of topics raised are not enjoyable for me including genre non-fiction and memoir at that. No offense, I will have to pass this book, but still congratulations on BOTD!

A biography about growing up in the sixties sounds interesting. I am curious how witnessing racial discrimination affected the author. His life sounds very interesting such as working for Kaiser Steel and joining the army. This book sounds wonderful so congratulations on BOTD.

The Reject Bench by James H Morgan sounds like an inspirational book. The author touches on some really pressing issues which is still bedeviling the American society.

I like reading memoirs. Knowing that what I am reading is not just the authors imagination but his reality makes it more intriguing. The author seem to have lived quite a life. I like how racism was handled. This is quite and interesting book.

I love biographies so added it to my shelf! Thank you for the review. I was born in the 60’s so only heard what it was like from my family and the media. It will be interesting to read his story growing up.
