I'm truly fascinated and inspired after reading the review. I can't wait to know how much more the story has to tell. It's not easy to recover from SA and bounce back stronger. I'm so proud of her, for she was able to win herself back. She is such a great example for all of us! Annabelle's story is truly inspiring and shout out to the author for making sure it's heard.
Congratulations on BOTD!!

Rescue Me offers a gripping insight into the life of Annabelle Cripps, shedding light on the challenges she faced despite her immense talent and privileged upbringing. The narrative of overcoming adversity, particularly in the face of sexual abuse, is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. I appreciate the author's courage in sharing such a deeply personal journey and applaud her efforts in advocating for other survivors through Safe4Athletes. This book is a testament to resilience and the power of speaking out.

This is truly an inspirational story. How an athlete bounces back despite challenging circumstances will motivate victims alike to over come their trauma. Ideal for athletes and other people who endured trauma.

"Rescue Me" is a biography about Katherine Starr. It looks fascinating and uplifting to read. Any athlete who has gone through trauma, tragedy, and disappointment like her will be inspired by her determination to overcome all that adversity and look to apply it to their situation. Congratulations to the BOTD author!

It is quite rare for a person to face challenges and come out successfully, it isn't easy to face the situation of abuse and abusers and see how selective the system can be. Congratulations on BOTD.

It is extremely distressing to hear about abuse, especially when the victim is a minor and knows the abuser. However, there is a book available for those who are struggling to find purpose and hope after experiencing trauma. I want to congratulate Katherine-Annabelle for being recognized as BOTD and wish her all the best in her efforts to help others who are going through similar struggles.

I read the description, review, and free sample of Rescue Me, a biography of swimmer Annabelle Cripps, who battled her inner demons through sexual abuse and excessive drinking.

The comparison of Starr to renowned athletes overcoming physical injuries and returning to the top of their game effectively conveyed the significance of Starr's resilience in the face of psychological and emotional obstacles.

I read the first 3 pages of the sample of this book before reading this review. I enjoyed the writing style of the author and found the editing to be professional. I was also captivated by the first 3 pages. I feel that this book will not disappoint. Katherine's story is compelling. She found a way to face the trauma of sexual abuse and to not let it define her. Her story will be inspirational to anyone who is suffering from trauma or is struggling to find their identity. :techie-studyinggray:

On the downside, I found eight minor grammatical errors. Although I can't say the book is not professionally edited, this aspect needs improvement. Besides, I believe the author took a long time to do a psychological analysis linking excessive drinking with sexual abuse and the toxic environment she had to endure. This psychological analysis only appears at the end of the book. In the middle of the book, there is a part where she says that she drank heavily before a major competition, which makes it seem like she was an irresponsible and undisciplined girl. By the end of the book, it became clear that drinking was a defense mechanism to help her avoid fighting the bigger problem. I believe that the discussion needs to appear early on.
That's a big mistake because some readers could fail to empathize with an athlete who seems so irresponsible. I love and practice swimming, too, and it's crucial to talk about the abuse that happens in sports. I'm glad the author turned her pain into a way to help others.
Thank you for your great review.

“Rescue Me” is not just Katherine Starr’s personal story but a beacon of hope and a guide for others facing challenges like sex abuse and personal trauma. It’s about finding the courage to heal, the strength to fight for justice, and the determination to make a positive impact in the world. I find her story very emotional and inspiring. Congrats to the author, #BOTD!

Katherine Starr which is the name the author goes by after changing her real name maybe to start a new beginning, has really made a significant stride in fighting a trauma that kills young people dreams. A girl who was brought up in a family with resources to facilitate her career and other hobbies, at some point she had to wear a transient mask inorder to survive an infidel that had befallen her in her coaching swimming path. The author however, has really tried to bring an art of work that focuses to educate the public that despite any setbacks we might face, we can still bounce back and produce good results or become someone better if only we kill the triggers of the trauma. She did this by setting a channel for the voices of the athletes which according to my understanding made her feel better and never wanted anyone else to face such an ordeal in their life. Mentioning on her heavy drinking to face the awkward coach, probably should let the readers understand that in such cases results cannot be excellent if we do not face our negativity with authenticity. Generally the author has done a great favor writing this peace of art inorder to bring back people undergoing all forms of trauma to the right path and do better in life. I would rate the book four out of four star. It's very educative and mind changing work.

The story makes me so sad.. how dare he spoil her career and life in the way he did, and how lovely that she’s written a book about it. Her writing style is inviting and easy to read. Perhaps getting it published will help her spiritually.
