Ansary really brought Washington’s legacy to life. It’s cool that George Washington Dealmaker-in-Chief covers not just the man but the moment he helped shape. I like that it shows both his strategic mind and entrepreneurial drive, especially post-war.

This sounds to be amazing and captivating book and would be very enlightening for me as a person who is interested in history, especially a person like George Washington. I never knew much about his family, though, especially his brother's work. Many thanks for the captivating review, @Theresa Moffitt.

Today’s BOTD is a nonfiction read that shows how George Washington helped create America’s free and innovative economy. Through hard work and determination, he laid the groundwork for a system that gave people more opportunity and encouraged new ideas. This isn’t the book for me, but I appreciate your helpful review. Thanks so much! :-)

Your review of George Washington Dealmaker-in-Chief is as painstaking and detailed as the book itself seems to be. I especially liked the way you highlighted Washington's business acumen—something that, unfortunately, gets lost in his political and military legend. It's great to read a review that not only applauds his reputation as a nation-builder but sheds light on his shrewd understanding of land holdings and economic systems.

Your point regarding the author, Cyrus A. Ansary, applying his own life in law and finance to deconstruct Washington's vision for the economy is particularly strong. It suggests that this is not just another biography but an insightful look at leadership through the lens of finance—and one we don't see very often in presidential histories.

I also appreciated your focus on Washington's initial influences, particularly his connection with Lawrence, and the presentation of how those shaped him. Far too much attention jumps right to the revolution or the presidency without considering the intensely human formative years that laid the groundwork for where he went.

I appreciate such a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective. Your energy is infectious—this just got added to my reading list.

Non-fiction books are not usually my cup of tea, but this review is well written, and the book itself seems well researched. It includes many descriptions of George Washington and his deeds, with quotations taken from the letters of people who knew him. George Washington was an outstanding person, and it would be interesting to learn more about him. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This review is as well written as makes the reader, interested in such a broad and fascinating topic, run to buy the book, impatient to read about the life of the First President, but not only as a Politician, also, as a man.

Doesn't matter if someone is born in the United States of America or not, a person such Washington, when described as such a well rounded human being, with his flaws and mistakes, becomes so fascinating and interesting, to capture the interest of anyone. The author did such an incredible job, and this review highlighted beautifully the chorale work that was put in it! Great job, and thank you for taking the time to share it with everyone!

It's interesting how having someone exemplary to look up to can greatly help. George Washington's stepbrother played a vital role in his life. I admire how, despite losing his father at a very tender age, he still went on to become successful in life. Nice review by the way, well done.
