Wonderful review!
I cherished how Boysan mentored more drivers. While many people would perceive this as competition, the author was ready to welcome new people into the job. In addition, his composure and professionalism were top-notch! Many drivers would have fallen into sexual temptations offered by intoxicated clients. Or even worse, some would use inebriated customers, too drunk to perceive the happenings.

Sometimes, we have to make bold choices to live a fulfilling life. Boysan took the bold step of leaving the corporate world for the Rideshare business. While such a decision was unwelcoming to his family, it was all he desired. The informal writing was humorous, and his way of making his clients feel at home was hilarious! I laughed at Boysan's slogan: “Welcome to the Luau Ryde! Everybody gets lei’d!”
Now THIS is something to respect and appreciate. While it's easy to leave it at saying we need more people in the world like this to make it a better place, I also realize that I need to continue improving on these things myself. This is a reminder that kindness, friendliness, humor, and genuine care will always go a LONG way and I’m always glad to receive it. Props to the author for being so open and thoughtful about his experiences in this book (as well as his others, I’m sure) and congratulations on BOTD!

When I read the title I thought it would be on a topic that I would prefer not to read. However, I do enjoy the occasional silly story and might give it a try if in the right mood.

This wouldn’t be the kind of job for me. I get irritated driving for people I know. Steve (Boysan) seems to really enjoy it and the stories he gets to tell from it, though. Congratulations on BOTD!

Not sure if I am going to read this book mainly due my freely admitted prejudice in regards "True Rideshare Stories". Don't get me wrong, I am sure people in this profession have much to tell due their experience, but to me sharing it sounds a bit voyeuristic and kinda violation of confidentiality. Will shelve it for future reference, but currently am undecided. Still, congrats on BOTD!

Although this isn't my typical genre of literature, I found myself deeply engrossed in the author's courageous decision to leave behind their corporate career and pursue their passion as a Rideshare driver.

Boysan's exciting and adventurous escapades provide important insights about work mentality. He may have left the corporate world, but he maintained his professionalism even in the most casual work environment.

Great review! From reading your review and the sample of the book, I find that this book is fascinating. I love reading about the different stories of the passengers in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. He had a good gimmick with his leis and his equally funny greeting of "Everyone gets lei'd tonight!"
"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know which one you are going to get!"

I am impressed by the courage of the author in the change of careers which is not an easy feat I must confess. I also love the experiences he went through as a RideShare driver. You learn a lot about life by interacting with various people from different spheres of life. Great review!

Thank you for your review! I was very confused at first on the name of the book but your review gave the clarity I needed to understand! This book seems like a very quick, easy, and funny read. I have a friend who drives for Uber and always has great stories to tell so I’d be very curious to read this book and hear some more!

This is a unique storyline featuring Steven, a driver of the taxi hailing app Rideshare. It's interesting that he has enough material to write such a novel. It's strange what his passengers try to have him do. Thanks for the review.

I enjoy reading people's life experiences because they always recount the best ones. It seems this book will not disappoint in that regard. What was Boysan's experience as a Rideshare driver? I can't wait to find out.

I would like to read this book as the overview of this book is intriguing. I would love to read and understand how the rideshare business works and share from his experiences as Boysan.

Alysiahi wrote: 25 Nov 2023, 06:47 This sounds like a really interesting story and I would love to read it. It reminds me of a reality TV show called 'Njoro Wa Uba'. The show is about the daily experiences of a taxi driver in Kenya and how he navigates handling all kind of clients. From the craziest demands to the humblest of clients. At the end of the day sometimes all we need is someone to listen to us.
I would have to try 'Njoro Wa Uba' before embarking on 'Mustache Rydes'.
