Your review resonates with me. Having sampled this book, like you I feel that it is a very useful tool for building self-awareness and understanding what our bodies are telling us so we can improve both our mental and physical health. I liked Kathi's example of beating her feet when taking on a new work position, and I am curious to learn more about the Body Memory Process.

Books that describe methods to evoke self-empowerment are always welcome. Perhaps this approach isn't right for everyone, as mentioned in the review. But for those seeking better insight into what makes them tick, this looks like a good starting point.

I think there is no 'one size fits all' when it comes to dealing with trauma. However, this book seems to offer a practical and accessible approach for those who want to explore how past experiences affect their present. It’s great that it empowers readers to take control of their own healing journey and provides tools that anyone can try, regardless of their background or experience. Great job with the review!

Non fiction, self-help books are not my cup of tea but the review is very enthusiastic and very well written. Reading the explanations of how our bodies store memories and how these memories affect our bodies phisically and mentally was interesting. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Trauma and bad experiences can stay hidden in our subconscious mind ,moulding our thoughts and response mechanisms. Moving on might be hard for a lot of us, this book and its methods mentioned in the review could be interesting to explore. If it works even a little that would be a big win , considering how big a small mindset change can make.

I enjoyed your review, and it has made me want to look into this book. The title alone makes you think about your thought process a lot, did that really happen...or did your mind make it up, to make you believe it happened? I experience this a lot myself sometimes, and I think reading this book may help me somehow.

Indeed I do agree with the author that promises and vows one makes during their childhood might limit them from living to their full potential and how it affects one's life and also a person's relationship that makes it difficult to live a happy, successful and fruitful life.

Today's BOTD offers an incredible way to overcome anxiety and heal from vows of many past years. Words have effects which on the long run of a person's life can be either a blessing or have grave consequences. How our bodies store up these memories long after they were spoken and how their effects on us is what this book has exposed. Can there be remedies from negative vows made? Kathi Sohn's "You Made It Up, Now Stop Believing It" provides the answer. I love this review because it makes this book easy to comprehend.

In You Made It Up, Now Stop Believing It, Kathi Sohn shows precisely how unconscious vows we have made in response to early-life experiences limit us as adults. Sohn outlines a process called the "Body Memory Process" for helping readers to identify and release these vows, ushering them into personal healing and self-awareness. By using stories and exercises that are relatable, the book provides a practical route toward emotional freedom and self-discovery. Congrats on BOTD

I believe that when bad things happen, traumatic events, there can be either a respose of action and determination, or one of fear and demolition. These responses are what the author calls vows and shape us in terms of constrictions we pose to ourselves.
I like that the book presents itself as a guide that teaches how to gain awareness of our own vows and, thus, how to regain power over ourselves.

Childhood trauma can make or mar you. While we need to show empathy to one another regarding the traumas that has negatively affected our adulthood, we also need to find strength within to not allow it become our reality. This book reminds us of a harsh reality we have to embrace.
