Thank you for the thorough review - I really appreciate hearing about the balance between personal experience and practical advice. I find it really helps to know what to expect from self-help books. Thank you again.

Self-help books are not usually my choice, but suicide is a topic that really hits home with me because I had a very dear friend chose that route. It was a tragedy that still affects me profoundly, even after almost 25 years, and this book explores these feelings with empathy and compassion. Thank you for your wonderful review, you touched on all the issues with delicacy and thoughtfulness and I was moved even just reading your well thought out take on this book. It's often hard to review a self-help book, but you've done an admirable job, kudos!??

Thanks for the review. I like it when a self-help book written based on experience. It is good to know that the author was able to successfully incorporate that into a book.

This sounds more like a memoir than a traditional self-help book. At the same time, it's quite clear that it is an account from which people will learn and draw inspiration.

I am super excited to read this book, and I can't wait apply some of the practices you have shared into my own life! I would also like to share some of your stories and strategies with my students (high school) so that when they graduate and begin to live on their own, they can use these strategies as a tool to get them through tougher times they may encounter. Thank you!
