At first this didn't sound like a book that I would be interested in. After reading the first two chapters on Amazon and then this official review I have changed my mind.

Thanks for the review. I don't mind the drinking and stuff so I wouldn't be offended. It sounds like a great book to read to make yourself happy. It is great when journalists write a novel, especially non-fiction about their travels.

I like a good adventure, and I like a funny adventure even better. I appreciate your comments about the humor in the book and how the author speaks candidly about his experiences and observations. Thanks for writing such a good review!

Thanks for the review. I would like stories that make me laugh as the review indicated. The story is typical of first travel experience to a strange place and it becomes a memorable adventure. This would make a good reading material.

The book The Nepali Flat by Gordon Alexander being set in the Himalayas, is an interesting non-fiction book. I desire to read this either over the holidays or Thanksgiving weekend. I love these times every year to read factual books.

Wow, thanks for the great review! As I was reading, I felt like laughing as remembrances of articles and shows of different regions where the food customs are definitely unrelated to Americans, provoked raw facial responses. Also, I love that we can develop bonds where 30 days prior there were none and your consideration of those that may be adverse to drinking and questionable language. Travel is one of those things that I would like to do and will have to settle for great reads on the subject till I can! I think I can get some great tips from Gordon Alexander and have some laughs to boot! :lol2:
