Therealitybthat Finding closure is a real life story has given me more zeal to live up to real feeling, it's amazing how Rosie never gave up finding her family after decades without being discouraged by negative thoughts of their personalities, Finding closure is a must read and keep in every human library. Thank you Miss/Mrs Rosie

The theme of not belonging is a core one in modern society. Whether for skin tone, religion or something else many elements can lead to a division and categorization. One important topic is the one of adopted children and their discovery of who they are taking into consideration their actual roots.

“Finding Closure” is a poignant memoir by Rosie Norman-Neubauer, chronicling her quest for identity and connection with her birth family after adoption. Through heartfelt storytelling, she explores themes of belonging and self-discovery, inviting readers to share in her emotional journey towards understanding her origins and heritage and capturing the complexities of reconnection and the realities that challenge idealized expectations. Indeed, the memoir resonates with adoptees and families, celebrating resilience and the potential for healing through openness and understanding in fractured relationships.

Finding Closure by Rosie Norman-Neubauer sounds like an inspiring book. I would love to read Rosie's full adoption story, especially how she eventually found closure.

Excellent review! Thank you so much!

Today's BOTD is a memoir that details the author's journey of self-discovery as she works to uncover the roots of her true identity. Readers interested in emotional stories about family, especially those regarding adoption, will find this one very well-written. I'm happy Rosie shared her story; I think it will help many out there in similar situations. Thanks again. :-)

This great review praises Finding Closure by Rosie Norman-Neubauer is an interesting book that talks about the author’s search for her birth family after being adopted as a baby and raised in a loving home. However, she still felt different and wanted to know her roots. At age 55, she starts looking for her biological family, leading to emotional reunions and self-discovery. The book is great as it gives those adopted that they can still reconnect with their families.

Memoirs are not my cup of tea but the book sounds interesting, giving us the raw, intense and emotional account of what an adopted child goes through. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I really appreciated your detailed review of Finding Closure. It sounds like the author did an impressive job weaving together themes of grief and resilience, which I find especially compelling in fiction. I was particularly drawn to your comments about the character development and how the protagonist's journey felt authentic and relatable. Your insight into the author’s handling of emotional themes, without becoming overly sentimental, makes me want to pick up this book. Thanks for highlighting how the story balances hope and loss—it sounds like a powerful read!

First of all, I would like to commend the reviewer on their short, simple and concise review. This is an ideal review for me.

Then, the book sounds like it would be a refreshing read although the theme doesn't particularly appeal to me for personal reasons(such as not being a parent, adoptee or adopted) and in as much as I would like to see from the lens of others, I just 'might' not be able to make out time for this book.

And I have also wondered how adopted children feel when they know they are adopted. If it is better to let them know or not, and things like that.
I had an online friend some years back who was adopted into his family. And as young as he was, he already had this mindset that he was not related to his siblings and all that.
Anyway, thumbs up through and through.
Congrats on BOTD
