Mallory Whitaker wrote:You'd think a book about sex would be more enthralling, but it sounds like it makes some very interesting points! I'm with you though. I disagree with her stance on monogamy. Perhaps adultery can help spark some desires but I don't think see how it can bring anything truly beneficial to a marital relationship. There are better ways. But I'm really intrigued by the other things you've mentioned and I'm adding this to my list of things to read.

Now that you've read it, do you agree that it's the most controversial book of the century?
No,Mallory I don't think this is the most controversial book. I have read heavier controversies  .
Please do read it. I will look forward to reading your views on this topic.

There are particular topics in life that always rise with controversy when tacked. Sexual discussions are not an exception. When it comes to matters of faith, many might not agree on some issues regarding sex. Adultery, phonography, and various ways to sexual enhancement in marriage are some of the issues. It is absolutely a great book to learn what others think of sex not forgetting the boundaries we have as Christians. Great review.

Wow, this books topic sounds so intense. But I know I'd be mad at the fact the author tries to pass adultery as something that is okay and argues that it's not in our nature to be monogamous...If that's the case, how would she explain people who genuinely prefer & practice monogamy.

My thoughts exactly Ritah. I was unhappy at this suggestion in the book.

Sounds like an interesting read. I too will have a problem with the issue on adultery. She seems to mention it very casually like it should be the order of the day. Nice review.

Yes, in fact this was the main point on which I disagreed with the author.
