"Ecstasy as Medicine" by Jonathan Robinson enlightens readers on the benefits of Ecstasy as a medical care and therapy option in combating PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and other psychological issues.
I don't know much about drugs; I'm not a fan of anything remotely drugs, anyway, so I wouldn't know. However, It's great that the Author added his over 40 years of professional knowledge, experience and expertise in MDMA-assisted therapy, crediting the subject discussed.

I find it interesting that the MDMA-assisted therapies are effective in combating traumatic conditions, seeking inner peace and reconnecting with others. Also, it is supported by the author's research. However, I comprehend that ecstasy as a medicine may have detractors.

Quickly scanning through the book's introduction and some reviews on this forum, "Ecstasy as Medicine" by Jonathan Robinson highlights some of the shortcomings of legislation and research (or lack thereof).

For example, where I come from certain herbs like marijuana (Indian hemp) have, for a long time, been banned therefore it has been illegal to cultivate or use them (even on a personal level). Only recently has the medicinal side of the herb been acknowledged, and cultivation has started to be allowed under license. This has been mostly due to not having the right research data about the benefits versus the perceived or known side effects of the herb.

I think this is a worthy read and I look forward to it.

I acknowledge the possible benefits MDMA or ecstasy has to offer the medical industry however, is this not another ploy to legalize yet another harmful addictive drug? I guess I'd find out by reading the whole book.

This is a very credible read. I am in support that some drugs like Ecstasy can be used to treat and manage mental health issues.

All of the times I've heard of this Ecstasy drug, I have only ever associated it with substance abuse. Could this be a new outlook on things? I'd read the book to find out.
