Very nice review! It's sad when you have a friend whom you know that something is wrong with her, yet she fails to open up to you for a long time. Seeing a person change as much as Miriam did means that the issue has taken a toll on her body and soul. People need to talk about things, if only to one confidant.

This is a book based on true events. The story revolves around the development of friendship between four girls, overcoming life's challenges and situations. Each girl's story is told individually at the beginning and intertwines with each girl's intervention depending on the situation. The narration is very good, and overall, the stories are warm and true. #BOTD

This one called to me and reminded me a bit of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Coming-of-age stories with the found family trope are always so heartwarming!

A book about supportive friendship and overcoming life challenges seems inspiring and relatable. In this book, Marlene shares her story with 3 friends and their personal lives. The author put her heart in this detailed and emotional narrative. The storytelling is engaging and well developed. I agree to see the other friend's perspective too. Thank you for an informative review.

'Official Review: Zooming with the Past' by Marlene Zaedyan provides a detailed picture of a nonfiction tale. It has a clear introduction. The book is inspired by the true life story of four friends. It tells the story of the author and her three friends, Anna, Miriam, and Fadia. Her friendship with each of her friends bloomed. The stories of each lady demonstrate how resilient one can be when they choose to survive and change their narrative. Readers will learn something from each story!

I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this story. It’s said to never judge a book by its cover but it’s hard not to make quick assumptions.
After reading this detailed review I’m so looking forward to reading this book and am so glad the author allowed us to get it for free today!

True friendship is being there for the other, physically or emotionally, and the review makes a case to read this story of friendships. I am curious as to what perspectives the author would have presented in the book.

Usually I am not interested in nonfiction books, but there was something in the description of this story about the friendship of four women that they carried over the years that drew me. Perhaps it is a contradiction to the popular belief that female friendship doesn't exist or a remembrance of my own girlfriends, but I gratefully accept the gift and congratulate the author with BOTD!
