I think it's amazing that the author was able to bounce back from his health-related issues and become a care worker. It's also great to hear that he includes both humorous and reflective stories in this book, while showing his care/love for his clients. I'm glad you found his casual tone appealing. Too bad about the errors here, but it's nice that they were not distracting for you while you read. Glad you enjoyed this seemingly great read! Thank you for the insightful review!

It`s worth admiring that the author changed his profession at his 53 years old. Most people wouldn't do that. And how wise he is to emphasize the good aspects of the situations he's lived as a care taker and not to stress the negatives aspects as many do. This, in my opinion, makes the book more appealing.

Nice review regarding humorous book about the medical care giver's work experiences which gives a glimpse of fun read and also gives insight about responsibility and nature of their work.

This sounds like a wonderful read and from a unique perspective! It is rare to read a book about the stories from the point of view of a caretaker! Congrats on book of the day! Fantastic review!

I'm glad to hear the author focuses on the positives. So often, the negative aspects of life get more attention. I can be guilty of this, and it's great to see attention given to the positives, especially in a field where the negatives can easily become overwhelming.

I agree, care workers are "true unsung heroes". I would love to read and be inspired. Working in healthcare is definitely a challenge and I would love to put myself in their shoes and get the real perspective.

This book sounds very interesting, I would enjoy reading about what seems to be such a hard, high pressured job from the daily writings of an actual care worker.
Hearing your passion about the book through your review made it even more intriguing.

I love your review and I am also going into the healthcare field. I am currently searching for jobs that allow me to help children with autism as a behavioral technician. I am glad that you could easily relate to Mr. Bulteel since you are a certified nursing assistant. I remember this book because one of the stories involved an elderly lady who farted and was moving the furniture around to repeat that noise.

The quote you mentioned about a day never going as planned is absolutely true. I'm a caregiver for people on the lower functioning end of the Autism Spectrum, and it is hard work. I look forward to reading more insights in this book.
