In the Scripture, it is said that God spoke directly only to Moses, now it seems like He speaks to everybody.

This book celebrates the author's personal relationship with God, as she shares her spiritual growth by way of the passages in the bible. Although this book is for Christians, anyone who values goodness of heart will benefit from reading the novel. Congrats!

Susan Butler, through this book, dealt with a rear topic which is very important in a Christian's spiritual journey. "First Fruits" is different from most 365-day devotional books in that it is divided into weeks with a precept page dedicated to each week of scriptures. I really like this concept because the daily readings become more like a Bible study, tied together and building on each other with the 52nd week's precept appropriately being entitled "Heaven"!
I recommend this book to all!!!

Amen! Good review! Agree or Disagree, if you will: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you". Enough said! Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD ✝️

I have downloaded the book. Reading it daily sounds like something I would enjoy doing. Thank you for your review, now that I am aware that the topic of the week is not always what the daily reading will be I want let it bother me.

I'm a Catholic but it has been also said that "Gentile or Jew, servant or free, woman or man, no more. One Lord of all." I'm choosing to focus more on the common grounds and not the differences at this point. God himself instructed us to forgive and love one another, even those who persecute us; I'm inclined to follow as far as I can, even if it's most difficult to do. Thus, if this book brings us closer to God and helps us to reflect on His words (with no intention to create discord or enmity whatsoever), then I won't be against this book at all.

Thank you for your well-thought-of and well-meant review.

Thank you for your review of First Fruits. I like short daily devotions and appreciate that they don't have to take a lot of time to make an impression. It is good to hear that she shares personal stories and scriptures for each precept. You mentioned that she shares her personal messages from God. From what I have read so far, she writes in the first person of God talking to us which makes it more intimate and personal.

I like the idea of reading a small passage everyday. I assume I would feel more connected to God that way.

Thanks for your straightforward review, I'm thankful for the pointers you shared, e.g. don't expect one topic per week as the author strays.
I've read a part of the book and will work it into my daily quiet times to learn more from a fellow Christian.

I think the best part about the book is the space you get to write your thoughts on the topic you've just read. I don't think I would read this, but my mum would love it. At least it would get her to stop writing in her bible.

Considering this is a Christian book, I would find no use for it but I'm sure for Christians, this would be a great book for them to better connect with their spirituality and better understand G-d.

First of all thanks for the review. So, this book is Christian based and in this book the author has shared her own struggles and how she used her faith and the promises of God to overcome some of her life's biggest problems. I think this would be a great book as I have faith in God and the author, Susan Butler's goal in this book is to make the readers to have to discover a stronger spiritual life that includes open communication with the Creator.
