From a sampling, this is interesting collection of essays concerning the author's life. It is always good to read non-fiction stories. Well done.

This collection of essays sounds like a sweet way to highlight the author's husband's accomplishments. It's nice to see that many people loved Earle and celebrated him in the form of essays. I like how you consider this to be a "labor of love". It shows that a lot of time and effort went into making this book. I'm sure the fact that Earle aimed to please God and advance the black community will help connect with others. Too bad about the amount of errors here, but I'm glad you enjoyed Touchstone regardless! Thanks for sharing!

She hopes that "Earle's life story and his legacy provide the inspiration for anyone in any stage of their life to realize that your thoughts create beliefs, beliefs create attitudes, attitudes create behaviors, and behaviors create results."
These are powerful words to live by, and have added this book to my reading list. Thank you for the thoughtful review.

Sounds like he has lived a very full and inspiring life. I'm glad his wife decided to write a tribute to him so he can hear how much she appreciates and admires him while he is still alive. Thanks for the great review!

"Touchstone" by Linda Eatmon-Jones seems like a book that everyone should read. There are some people who cannot "Thank you" not to talk of singing the praises of anyone. The author did a wonderful thing by writing about her love and admiration for her husband. This story is worthy of emulation.
Thank you for the wonderful review.

It sounds like the author put a lot of thought into the best way to organize the contributions provided to her! With enough essays to fill nine major sections, I’m sure it was quite a task to figure out how to order the ideas in a cohesive manner. The review indicates that she was successful in not only sharing what she had gathered, but doing it in a way that communicated her admiration and love for her husband. Thanks for the review!

Very much inspiring legacy of her husband by Linda Eatmon-Jones in her book "Touchstone", which contains a nice collection of essays depicting the accomplishments of her husband Earle Francis Jones, which can be also called as his biography, celebrating his admirable life. Such kind of biographies are quite pleasing to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I'm not a fan of non-fiction but I think the idea of organising essays, written by people who love Earle and respect him, into a biography is very interesting. I believe the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Based on the review this book is not something that I would enjoy reading. I don't have interest in reading biographies. I also don't like to read books with religious content or beliefs. I will pass on reading this book.

Oh, how I wish I could claim such a comprehensive list of accomplishments, or have known Earle Francis Jones personally. He sure would have been (and has become) someone I admire. You can sense the love, respect, and admiration Linda Eatmon - Jones has for her husband Earle when reading the sample. I love biography's, especially when the person is being recognized for the good they have done throughout their life. For this reason and since the sample left me wanting more, I will definitely ready the rest.

The author did a nice job of honoring her husband while he is still alive. This means there is a kind of unconditional love between the couple. I hope the essays by the various people, either they are his friends or family members should be inspiring and captivating to the readers.

Sounds like a great story. It's nice to see a wife pay tribute this way and while he is still living. He has accomplished a lot in his life. I might give it a read even though I not big on memoirs.

I find it incredibly sweet that Linda Eatmon-Jones is a wife with so much love and respect for her husband that she would dedicate her time to orchestrating such a heartfelt collection of biographical essays to honor her husband's life while he is still alive to read about the positive impacts he has had on those around him.

I agree that we need to appreciate and honour each other, while we still live. It is a terrible shame that we mostly say good things about a person only at their funeral when they are not present to hear them. I had not heard of Earle Jones, but from reading your insightful review, he seems to be someone I would like to meet and spend time with. Thank you.
