“The Billionaires' Handbook: A User's Guide to Wealth and Power isn't painful "because it's bad, it's painful because it's terrifyingly real. Beside images that blend 90's clip art with 60's pop art, "Andrew" tells us how the superrich don't break rules, they follow them... because they created them. Tax codes that allow the 1% to practically avoid taxes altogether? Check. Using celebrities and the internet to keep us distracted? Check. Owning the media so only the "right" news is told in the first place? You've got it! Money may not buy happiness, but enough of it sure buys pretty much everything and everyone.”

You have hit the nail on the head. Brilliant review! :tiphat:
‘In a world that increasingly obsesses over the gods of power, money, and fame, a writer must remain detached, like a bird on a rail, watching, noting, probing, commenting, but never joining. In short, an outsider.”

I've been wanting to read this book for quite some time now and this BOTD has given me the perfect opportunity. I love the cold hard truths told in the form of dry humor and intelligent illustrations. I also find the part about the rich making rules to keep them rich true. Thank you for this creative review.

It is good that the author added humor to tone down the otherwise heated narration. Thanks for the review

Im always one for books about the super rich and 1% and learning how they do what they do. This review has enticed me enough to want to read the book cover to cover and learn how it is tax breaks don't work for all and media is the true lie. I will add this to my to read list

I would read this. It brilliant. I would also fight and plot to remain rich. Who wouldn't? At whose expense you ask? Well, that depends on what are the stakes. Great book.

A thoroughly charismatic review, I loved every word :D This sounds like an unorthodox creation that isn't afraid of ripping the blinkers off the eyes of the 99% and revealing what is really going on behind the scenes. The super-rich know how to work the system and that's how they got where they are today, and more importantly, how they stay there for generations to come :o A round of applause to the reviewer! :techie-studyinggray:

Seems to me that even though I may not get rich from reading this book, I will at least have a few laughs about the sad reality of not being rich. I don't think this is quoted in the book but the review leads me to want to read it for the sake of entertainment. The reality of the disparity between classes should be pointed out in a none depressing manner. I'll certainly be reading the book based upon this review.

I am not a fan of politics but I am curious as to see what the book has to say about being rich. The writing style seems interesting and the review was written in detail. For the sake of humor, I am willing to give it a try.

Who will not like to be a rich, and become even richer? Yes, the Billionaires' handbook by Andrew Stevenson really touched upon the aspects of the economy - based on RULES. This handbook looks interesting in the prospective of understanding the Old and the New Rules of 'wealth'.
The use of illustrations throughout the book makes sense to the context, quickly. Good reading.

Thanks for the review. This must have really exposed one to the world of Billionaires. I particularly liked the fact that it said the top 1% make the rules and live by them. I guess this is a major secret of the billionaires.

I had loved this book. A basic understanding of economics might be necessary to understand some concepts but the book is nonetheless an enjoyable read. I loved the accompanying illustrations most. They were intelligent and explained the text well.

It sounds a good nonfiction business guide for people interested in marketing trends an upheavals in USA. However, I'm not in this, so I will pass it on. Congratulations on BOTD.
