The book sounds amazing, how it categorizes life in three phases; crawling, walking, and running, however I found myself so indebted to find out more about the second part, which is the walking, because I would love to know how to take control of what I think and don't.. Bravo! For a superb rewiew.

I like the title. Definitely attention grabbing. And it's true sometimes if our life stinks it's up to us to change it and not blame others. Your review too would encourage me to read even though I'm not a fan of self-help books

Taking control of your thinking is both crucial and harder than it sounds. There's an entire field of therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that is dedicated to helping people learn how to take control of their thinking. I hope this book is able to help people help themselves.

To some this book may at first glance appear to be a psychological attack on those too afraid to proceed toward in life. Nevertheless as I progressed through the first few pages of the book I was not only taken aback by the sheer straightforwardness of the author or by her audacity, but mainly because I could feel and not just understand the message she desperately tried to her across to the reader. She spoke as though it was out of experience and I truly respect her for that.

Thank you for your review. I liked when you wrote:
I expected something fluffy like most self-help books, but came away with a great deal of both inspirational quotes and notes, as well as encouragement to live my own life better."
I read this one and enjoyed it. I liked the way the book was lain out and written as a whole. I also liked the thought of crawling before walking, working on one aspect of life before moving on to a more complicated one. It has been a while since I read this title, I want to re-read it and go over my notes. Thank you again for your great review and recommendation.

Thanks for the review, I generally don't read self help book because they tend to oversimplify everything. I like that the author uses "tough love", think I will give this one a go.

A good self-help book "If life stinks get your head outta your buts" by Mark L. Wdowiak, tells us about the importance of positive thoughts and encouragement for a better life. The book guides us to take control of our thinking, which encourages us to get out there and be successful. The book appears to be quite helpful.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Although it has a weird title, it looks like a great self-help book. I like that the author offers easy to follow, no-nonsense advice for readers. I agree that while it is important to have positive thoughts, nothing good comes from inaction. Thanks for the wonderful review!

What a great title. At first I thought it was just a more polite phrase than the usual one to come to mind. Yet, then I noticed that, if that was the case, 'butts' would be more proper. It took me a moment to see the dual meaning of excuses that start with 'but'. This sounds like the self-help book people need, with a tone balance between a parent saying: "You can do whatever you set your mind too," and a Military Drill Instructor's instructions that make working towards a goal look almost unachievable. Great review!

The title was not very clear to me but after reading your review everything has been explained. True that life has different stages and that if something is not working out better you use a different approach for things to work out. The book also tells us not to be over ambitious
