Unfairness in life is common to all. To rise above every unfair treatment that life throw our way is what we all need to embrace. I'll love to read this book. Thanks for the review.

Based on your review, this is such a touching book. It's frustrating that the author had to go through so much. I'd love to read this book, to find out more about the authors life and how he handled his trauma. Great review!

I like reading memoirs and especially this one that talks about the different diversities that life can take at times. This kind of experience needs a brave author just like Lewis to talk about the traumatic experience that he underwent in life. I'll be glad to read this book. Nice review.

Pensive and very expressive through deplorable conditions the author faced as being fault at biological impropriety. But here unfortunately the parents prosecute theirs...the wrenching moments are too bad. I am very considerate and at stake so can not entertain the read.
A handsome review evenly made the text so succinctly. Good!

Memoirs like these have their own place in highlighting the brutality of caretakers and irresponsible parenting. I admire the author for being honest throughout the read. Thank you for the detailed review.

Sounds heartbreakingly good. It does like you said show us that the butterfly effect happens not only in science but in every person's and any person's life. And therefore we must think twice before we act.

Going straight to my to-read list. :techie-reference:

Yes, life was being unfair. It felt a little sad after reading the story. The story is full of bad memories but full of hopes. I admire the character for being courageous enough to face hindrances in life despite being a kid. Acceptance, respect, and understanding are key elements to have a harmonious relationship.
Reading is a journey to the world.

Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Having a Bad Life is an articulate literary work that brings into mind a vivid story of a boy who ponders his brokenness. Lewis Kempfer uses chatty format that engages you intimately welcoming you to experience the mystique that is his life. The glamourous moments which seem to stem from an abusive home where he both witnessed and experienced it firsthand. His clean and compendious making it easy to follow him through his troubled childhood. The story is not jarring in any way whatsoever as he euphemistically describes his life, innocent and imperceptive. It tugs and the vulnerable parts of your being as you see through the protagonists eyes how unguarded he is from his fathers wrath and societies turning a blind eye to the obvious abuse the family surfers. The young boys life seems like the typical humans life confused by its eclectic nature.

This is a phenomenal read because Lewis Kempfer slowly unravels the plot nudging you deeper into his story. The plot is based on serious issues in society that need urgent attention. Issues such sexual, physical and psychological abuse in homes, sexuality, mental health and substance abuse.

This for me was a very emotional read. It is sad to read about a young boy suffering so at the hands of the people supposed to protect him. And the blow back is so huge. It takes great courage to write such a memoir and to turn your life around. This definitely gets to the top of my reading list.

read this book a couple of weeks ago, it was a painful beautiful read I must say. this book triggered dark memories for me and it made me realize how miserable I am and how far I am from recovering. it's great that Lewis recovered and gained control over his life it's something I am desperately yearning for.

I just finished reading this memoir .The book is very well written ,I really liked the author's sincerity and guts how he pen down all his life dark secrets in a much subtle way .The chapter where Lewis met the little girl when he was in two class was the one that made me worry about ,I'm not a parent right now but when I will be I will make sure that my child will be in a good company and nobody bullies him or her . I guess its parents duty to create a bond with children so that they can share the dark truths with them. From the very young age of four Lewis has low esteem and his father added more to his miseries rather than helping him out. I liked the book but some scenes made me depressed like when buzz died ,I'm a animal lover and this scene really made me cry but this was the turning point in Lewis life .thanks for the wonderful review .
