I think this is a really nice and intuitive book everyone should read. I would love to see all that Bette Boersma has to offer through this book.

I like where this book is coming from, and where it went (as per your review) but it's far too religious for me. Thank you for your review, however I will pass.

I'm sure this book is gonna be great because of the sensitive and typical issue that had treated, i like the way you explained this situation in the review.

This Bible passage in Timothy has been used so much under the discussion of feminism. I hope to see the author's unique insight into the passage. This is a good review!

Women have experienced gender-based discrimination in all circles around the world. However, it's a high time we encompass them in all activities so that they should not feel left out. Your review is intriguing pricking people's interest in this book. Congratulations to the author on BOTD

This book answers the need of the author for change in the world. It also seems to be the argumentation for women as priests. The review is well documented and shares the same view.

I've read several other books on this topic, so it would be nice to read and compare them. "Can I believe that men and women are equal and still believe the Bible is true and it is God's Word for us today?” This is a problem for many Christians today in this world of feministic ideals. Whatever happened to obedience to God's Word and the love between husband and wife that is described in it? Great review!

It is my understanding that many of the bible verses used to subjugate women are based on misunderstandings or mistranslations of the text; I am interested to hear what the author has to say on this subject. Thanks for the review, Renu :techie-studyingbrown:

Good review. The book can be an eye opener to those who still look down on women in the society. Those who still have the notion that women are not equal to men and should stick to domestic chores.

I don't like reading non-fiction as a rule, making reluctant exception when it is absolutely required by my speciality. Religion, feminism and discrimination are not topics I study, nor are they of my interest and as such I will not be reading this book. But congratulations are definitely still in order!

The book seems to have a great contribution to the field of Christian feminist theology. It includes many interesting topics like exclusion policies vs. women's faith, a reconsideration of traditional beliefs, gender roles and what Christian tradition teaches, etc. Thanks for an extensive and well-written review!

Surely a book which is not in my scope of interest. Yet, I believe that this will be appealing to those who prefer the genre. Congratulations on being BOTD

I like books of faith and Christianity and the good question is the world is changing from the way views were back then. So how do we integrate it to the days of today. I am interested in reading to see the views.
