It's interesting Obernuefemann was inspired to create a title whose initials are MD, like a medical doctor. It just adds a layer to the idea that this book was meant to heal her. It seems short enough that I might look into it to see how she portrays the modern disciples.

This book is inspirational as it connects our inner being with God. It might be offensive to some but I sincerely recommend it to all open hearted readers. I will love to read it myself. Thanks for the review.

I have some books about spirituality, but this one seems different, it seems to be focused more in helping people with traumas, like the author. But I think this book is not for me. Thanks for the great review!

Although the subject of the book is not my usual cup of tea, I can see that this will provide inspiration to its intended audience or perhaps those who are just new in seeking spiritual guidance. I liked how the review stated that the author did not come across as preachy on her beliefs so that is a plus for me. Thanks for the review.

I understand the importance that the Bible and religion have to people. So, I believe this book is important to people that might need a bit of assistance in their faith.

Although I’m not sure about channeling and spirit guides, I do try to keep an open mind, and this sounds like an interesting book filled with spiritual information that could help people suffering from abuse or trauma. Thanks for the review, ciecheesemeister.

This book seems like a soother to people who may have been abused in one way or another just like the author. I would love to read it someday. Great review and congratulations to the author on BOTD.

I'm a Christian, but I don't find all Christian publication/books appealing to me. The author's childhood experience sounds painful. I'm glad she found a way to heal the scars that resulted from the abusive childhood experience. Spiritual food is the best medicine to cure our problems, such as traumatic episodes, effects of distressing situations like, violence and political unrest. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

It is said to vent properly when there is a huge build up. Some chilhood memories are just like nightmares, they keep haunting you in any form. I guess the writer so brave to come forth with her life as a child. With so much on plate she dealt with surgery and still was able to complete a marvelous book. Congratulations to both writers for BOTD.

Today’s BOTD “Spirituality Modern Disciples of Jesus Christ” by Bettina E. Obernueferemann was astonishingly crafted in an easy to understand form. Obernueferemann has a unique style of addressing the reader. The author immerses their spiritual being into the piece and switches narrative styles depending on the wisdom being expressed. This shift in narrative style makes the piece very whole. Obernueferemann begins with inclusivity, asserting that the “writer” and the reader are indeed related through Consciousness.

This is not a typical “Christian” piece of writing, or even Religious. This piece is practical, applicable, and realistic. This piece merely uses Christianity as an outline and backbone, but focuses moreso on the reader being able to apply these sacred teachings and pieces of wisdom in their everyday lives. Addressing trauma is just one of the many helpful aspects of this book, and the author does a fantastic job at conveying a universal message to the reader

Thanks for an awesome review. I had a negative attitude toward the book after looking at the sample, but your review revealed that the author is seeking to share her experience and help us to reach to the Spirit for guidance and peace. Congrats on BOTD

Interesting cover illustration. It is often difficult to write a book like this that many different believers would enjoy, but that is what this author has done. I am not so much into spiritual works but I will check it primarily because it is brief.
