Thanks for the review. I like the idea of a thoroughly guide for this topic, yet one of my main concerns is to know whether this is marketed towards a specific public, for example for the US, or if this would work for a wider audience.

It sounds like an interesting books with a lot of details about royalty payments, but it’s not really the kind of book that I will read. However thank you for your honest review.

Thanks for this succinct review. I've often found myself being a free giver of my knowledge, although I like to think of it as generosity. Still, it wouldn't hurt to be able to make a dollar or two out of it. I agree that adding her personal stories would have been it more relatable, but I'm still keen on hearing what she has to say.

I've always wondered how royalty payments work and how one can make a living off of them. This may just be a great book to start with in order to investigate further.

Great review. A book without personal touches feels like a life without oxygen. They make books less serious and more relatable. Making a living through royalty payments is something I will love to know more about.

I believe this was meant to be a reference book. I wonder if the author is a lawyer. The cover belies the book's purpose, though. But if I were receiving royalties, I would be singing, too. All the way to the bank.

I would've liked this too if the book is supported by personal experiences. But if the author included an extensive research about this, then it'll be a great read. Awesome review!

Whenever I hear an original song or a cover of an old song, I always wonder if someone is being paid for it. This book sounds like it would answer all of my questions about royalties. There was only one thing that I disliked about this book. I was expecting a level of personal touch to the narrative, but I didn't see it. Though the author cited examples to buttress her points, there was no personal side to it. I wasn't expecting the author to riddle the book with her own stories. However, a couple of personal experiences would have added more credibility to the narrative. This book could pass for a research paper. Though the absence of personal touch didn't change the fact that this book was a good read, it would have made it more relatable.

You make a good point. It's much easier to relate to a narrative when the author involves personal experiences.

It sounds like a well-researched account of how to make money off of royalties. With no prior knowledge regarding royalties, this would be a great learning opportunity for myself. I like that the author explores common myths, as well. It is too bad that the author failed to infuse personal experience into the text. Thank you for your honest review.
