The author has provided a safe place within these pages for people to learn more about anxiety and identify ways to become a better-defined self. Thank you for your visit and for your thoughtful comment.Josephe-Anne wrote: ↑22 Jul 2020, 01:50 It's so easy to become anxious about the unknown. So, you rightfully pointed out that anxiety is a survival mechanism. However, too much anxiety can be detrimental.
I like the fact that the author handles the subject from different angles and provides helpful exercises to reinforce each lesson.
Thank you for an excellent review.

Yes, this sounds like a well-researched book. I'd like to read it too. Psychology fascinates me, and I find that much of it is really helpful when managing emotions and preparing the mind for work and handling various situations.Christieee wrote: ↑18 Jul 2020, 14:08 It looks like the author of this book has done her research and that is, indeed, a delight. I would love to read this book because I love pieces that shed light on psychology and how to harness the human mind and emotions.
I appreciate the great review.

I found it powerful to step back and observe how I interact with the people in my life. The exercises the author provides help the reader focus on how they respond in a situation instead of what the other person is doing.
I hope you decide to read this book. It is amazing how much information is covered. Thank you for your comment.

Observing how I react isn't exactly a new concept to me, but I haven't really applied it when I have anxiety attacks. Hopefully, this book sheds some light on that particular topic.MsH2k wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 01:13I hope you check out this book. The author addresses anxiety from many angles, but I like that she emphasizes patience and observing why you react, not just how you react.
