Nice review. I know a few men who have PTSD from the Vietnam War, and it is a horrible disorder to have. I hope that anyone who has this disorder seeks treatment.

This review really struck a chord with me. PTSD is something so many people live with silently, and the idea that this book approaches it from both a personal and unconventional angle makes me genuinely curious. I appreciate that the reviewer mentioned the author's transparency and the lack of medical jargon—that alone makes it feel more accessible. I haven’t read the book yet, but this review has definitely moved it to the top of my reading list. It sounds like a powerful and necessary perspective.

Thank you for the great review! It is well-structured. The reviewer shared information about book and their personal reaction, which makes the text both convincing and engaging. I think this book is definitely worth reading

The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy" by H. Nattanya Andersen is a book I hold in high esteem. The issues associated with Ptsd are not discussed enough in society. Makes me wonder how the survivors managed to live through it. Congratulations on the book of the day.

Thank you for such a great review. From what I've learned about PTSD in college, it can be hard pill to swallow. I will definitely be adding this book to my bookshelves.

People with PTSD suffer more than we can imagine, and it is critical to understand how to help them--the review indicates this book is written in such a friendly tone and it's easy to follow and learn from. With little experience in the issue, I'm confident I can take so much away from this read.

Honestly I just understand the part of engine and flights and 30 minutes. Gimli Boeing 767 ran out of fuel at 36,000 feet altitude at Manitoba, Canada and this part perfectly means thanks for the review

"The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy" by H. Nattanya Andersen is a deeply personal and eye-opening look into living with PTSD. Blending research with her own story, the author offers understanding, hope, and guidance that could truly help anyone struggling. I'll definitely read this one. Congrats BOTD!

Teele, I like that your review started off with a description and comparison of two flights. Or was it a quote from the book? I don't remember. Either way, it is a hook. I have a friend who takes antidepressants (not for PTSD though). I'm curious about the effects they have on those with PTSD. Hearing that the book is simple makes me more likely to read it. It is easier for me to read fiction than nonfiction.

"well-meaning people can make life more difficult for sufferers." Did the book offer any insight into this? I do not have PTSD, and I would hate to make someone suffer more.

I'm intrigued. The book is insightful and thought-provoking. The author's near-death experience led to her being diagnosed with PTSD. She also talks about the truth behind the treatment practice. I agree some readers may find the information helpful. Thank you for a nice review.

'Official Review: The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy' by H. Nattanya Andersen sketches out the nonfiction's content. It reflects on the book's thesis. We find detailed information on the meaning, symptoms, and modes of treatment of PTSD, as well as the effects of antidepressants on patients. We also find extensive information on neurosis, its diagnosis, and symptoms. It was great to learn that the author's views are original and unconventional!

As someone who has struggled with PTSD, I'm really intrigued about this book, and I'm kind of hoping the secret is about psych meds since I've had awful experiences with them. I'm pretty sure PTSD is much more common than people think and not just a veteran issue, so I'm confident this book will help a wide audience. Thank you for your review.

This book presents a rather delicate subject. The author even specifies that none of the above should be considered a diagnosis, since the topic in question is about post-traumatic stress. This type of trauma wreaks havoc on people and manifests after experiencing a situation in which they have been subjected to unparalleled terror, fear, or stress.

As someone who’s been interested in trauma and mental health, this book really challenged how I’ve thought about PTSD and the way it's commonly diagnosed and treated. Andersen's perspective is bold, but it’s grounded in compassion, lived experience, and a genuine desire to offer something more meaningful than a clinical label. What I appreciated most was her honesty. Andersen doesn't deny the pain of trauma—in fact, she acknowledges it deeply—but she questions whether the current psychiatric model, which often focuses on symptoms and diagnoses, truly serves those who are suffering. Her argument that labeling trauma as a “disorder” might actually limit the healing process really resonated with me. The writing is thoughtful, clear, and often quite moving.

The review has a compelling and empathetic writing style.
Exploring the complexities of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Focusing on the hidden wounds of trauma survivors. Psychological injuries, unlike visible physical ones, often go misunderstood and inadequately treated. The book is good choice for BOTD. Congrats.
Life is hard on its own so let's make it easier for each other if we could.
