This sounds very intense, I can't imagine the horrors the author had to endure. Overall, I'm glad he found a way to heal and forgive those that hurt him. His story sounds touching.

It's so good how some authors go out of their own way to teach another generation so that they can learn from their flaws. It seems to be a good book to be read by the young generation to positively impact their lives.

This is a book to read for me. The storyline and lessons from the family life are quite incredible. I also like the author's expressing his flaw and remorse for some of his actions. Nice review.

This sounds like an insightful autobiography of a man with a very troubled background. The first 20 years of his life are described and it shows a lot of struggles, such as growing up around substance and alcohol abuse. Thanks for a great review.

I'm not a big fan of autobiographies, and this one seems a bit too dark and depressing to me. I'll pass on it but I'm sure other readers would appreciate it and would maybe find it helpful.

I've read the sample of the book and find that this is not the book for me. I am not a fan of autobiographies and this one is exceptionally dark. Thank you for your review.

This autobiography shares some insights into the real life experiences of the author, showing that life is often a struggle from its very beginnings. I, too, was a little bored with the extended information about his ancestry, but with further research that aspect of his story could also make an interesting book.

I always enjoy honest and open autobiographies and this one seems to be it. I like that the book has both difficulties and flaws. Makes it an inspiring and surreal read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I must have taken such courage for the author to share the difficult experiences of his childhood, but at the same time very healing. Those who suffer from substance abuse or who experienced sexual assault could benefit from reading this. Thanks for the review!

I think Thomas had something which most addictive and violent children on the streets don't have and that's love. But I think the environment is what shaped his character in his early years of life. Good review thanks for it. I like the storyline.
