This book sounds quite informative about the struggles of a black woman in today's America. I like that it also gives some historical background, as well as poems, etc. The only thing that I am on the fence about is that there is a lot of Trump talk in the book, and frankly, I am tired of hearing about him. Thanks for the informative review.

Given that slavery, racism and segregation have lasted for centuries, it is unrealistic to expect that they will be able to be abolished and annulled in a few decades.

A non-fiction novel that explores themes such as slavery and racism. The author, an African American woman, exposes her assessments on these controversial topics. It includes historical aspects and also current issues such as Black Lives Matter, COVID-19, and the 2020 American Elections. Sounds interesting.

The book looks like it tackles an array of subjects about the systemic problem of racism in the United States, starting from slavery to the ongoing crisis brought by the pandemic plus the unfair justice system. Congrats on BOTD!

My fellow americans: I am an angry, tired, black woman, takes us to a time travel through the history of United States of America, from the very beginning, where the founder fathers fought their way until they achieved the emmacipation from the British Crown.

It also gives a different perspective from what is taught at school about history being an easy path, instead it states what the whole process looked like for african american slaves, from children who where bought and sold apart from their parents to entire families teared apart for these same transactions.

One remarkable part of the book that I personally enjoyed quite a lot were the stories of Harriet Tubman and John Brown, who knew what exactly was to fight their way to freedom, how they lived to serve to the cause, and put their lives in danger in so many ocassions with not a trace of doubt.

Its a book that everyone should read at least once, to keep past mistakes in the past and look forward to a future where racism, sexism and discrimination in general terms won´t have the chance to take a place.

Non-fiction books are just not my type. Besides, this book seems like it's better suited for Americans. Nonetheless, a book well researched deserves all the appreciation in the world.

He who feels it knows it. For those who are affected, racism is always a terrifyingly troubling issue. There's a lot of history in this book that is educative and thought-provoking. Thanks for a great review.
