My only dislike about this book is its tilt towards religion. A sizable portion of the later part of this book was devoted to the author's involvement with her church. The text contains profanities as well. Nevertheless, Trauma to Triumph is a great book to have. I recommend it to all who would love to have a deeper understanding of their psyche.
I'm with you in that. I respect all religions as long as they don't harm anyone, but I don't understand why so many authors feel the need to lecture us on religion when it's not strictly a religious book. I don't think that's considerate towards their audience, which can come from all walks of life, cultures, and religions.
Thank you for your great review!

I found the early chapters of the book interesting, well-written in a very straightforward manner and easy to comprehend. I did not mind that the author discussed the Catholic church and its impact on her life as it provided me with a more complete picture of who she is and the parts that contributed to her personality and psyche. One thing that made me take notice early on was "When your belly is full and food is plentiful you notice the emptiness in other parts of the body." Thanks for the good review on this book.

Sounds like a great book about self-discovery to motivate readers to take control of their lives. Sandra's life seemed pretty desolate, and it will be nice to read about how she changed her life for the better. Thanks for the review!

I'm not interested in self-help books, but if I was this seems like a good start. Thank you for the great review.

A lot of people have lost their self-esteem today as a result of their experiences at home, school, workplace as so on. Hence, the fact that the book will help readers conquer low esteem and its attendant ills make it invaluable. Thanks for the review.

This sounds a lot like Victim 2 Victor, I book I reviewed a few months or so back. The stories of people coming out of their hardships and recovering physically and mentally is an extremely uphill battle. When the author shares their story, they encourage others to heal as well. Kudos to the author for having the courage to write this one.

Although I can relate to a lot of things mentioned in the description, I don't think I'll be reading the book as self-help is not my preferred genre. I hope it turns out to be a valuable guide to people who suffer from anxiety, depression, stressful relationships and other things mentioned above. I admire the author for putting her story out there for others to read.
Your review is well-written and manages to capture the essence of the book. Good job!
