I appreciate the books where I can relate to the characters and this being an autobiography where the author shares her experiences that I can relate with makes this a book I would love to read. Thank you for the thorough review.

This is an autobiography about a woman who is paranoid and then meets a healer who helps her overcome her fears. Congratulations BOTD!

Prisallen wrote: 02 May 2021, 14:36 The author included specific exercises and suggestions that she used on her journey to wellness; this is to aid the readers in overcoming their problems. I really appreciated these suggestions. For example, she mentions that the way we stand and whether we smile or frown can make a difference in our mental status. This may seem unimportant, but it can cause a change in our attitude and, consequently, our well-being.
That's commendable. How our posture affects our mental state is something so true yet ignored my many of us. And although I don't believe in many things the author talks about in the book, I'm interested in reading about her journey and knowing her perspective on life.
Thanks for this amazing review :tiphat:

I'm so glad that Perfect is today's Book of the Day. It's already in my want to read shelf. It is hard to share such personal experiences and I commend Judy for that.

I'm not particularly fond of memoirs or books about spiritual awakening, however, Ms. Miller is a very gifted writer and her words are filled with genuineness and joy. For those who find this genre of book comforting, I'm sure it's a terrific read. Congratulations to the author on her accomplishment and for receiving BOTD!

I also appreciate the use of exercises in books as they help to break the monotony if narration. Thanks for the review.

Sometimes we all need reminders of the beautiful things in life. I'm glad this book provides that and that it doesn't shy away from harsh realities. Great review!

I've sampled this book. I think it's a great book. I, however, won't read it because, unlike the author, I don't believe everything unfolds as they should. I believe everyone makes their own fate. Great review.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I read somewhere that we are born with only two fears, the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. All other fear we acquire during our lifetime. It seems the author has been dealing with a lot from a young age. Thank you for including the trigger warning. Great job with the review.

I really want to read Perfect. It sounds like unreal and superb. A smile or a frown could change one mood, yes indeed it can. You've written a wonderful review!

This sounds like an intriguing read, and although I personally don't really identify as a spiritual person, it'd be fascinating to give this a look to better understand her experiences. Thanks for the review.
