This sounds like a very interesting book and you're review seems very comprehensive. I always wonder what inspires an individual to become an expert in something, but whatever instills these desires in people has likely had a tremendous impact on our world today. Thanks for writing such an intriguing review!

The book is extremely interesting primarily because it was written by an expert, because it is objective and because it is multidisciplinary. Thanks for the comment.

Medievel history and the influence of the church, especially the Catholic Church, the Byzantine or Roman Empire, as it is more commonly known, has always caught my attention. I am surely adding this book to my library shelve.

Thank you for your in-depth review of this book.
