Wow this book seems like it was borne from incredible grief. I do appreciate that you mentioned the positive notes in the book in your review. I think will help readers not shy away as much from the sadness of the story.

The sample was delicious, although full of grief. I know I couldn' t read the whole book because the daughter dying from the same type of cancer scares me too much. Anyway it has mentions to Romanian relatives which would make me curious...

This review broke my heart, the journey of the author to write it down and then deciding to publish it is unimaginable to me, I hope this book will help other people trough their own journeys. Congratulation to BOTD.

Very nice review. I can appreciate why the author wanted to write this letter, continue it as a book, and publish it. His wife's death, followed by the death of his daughter, must have been devastating, and I hope his telling the story was healing for him.

This story is quite sad given that the author lost his wife and daughter to ovarian cancer. However, it touches on other themes such as his relationship with God, and even adds some humor. It is also an opportunity to help in the fight against ovarian cancer.

What the author and Abigail went through is something no one will wish to go through it, so I would be grateful to read the letter written to Abigail, thank you.

This is a very moving story, which the writer shares from his heart. To find the strength after so much pain takes courage and resilience. I'm enjoying the flowing narrative, and even though it will be an emotional read, I believe it will be worth it. Thanks for a good review on this book.

Shivansh_Reviews wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 07:57 The concept of the book seems pretty nice to me. I think it will be touching book for people who are a bit emotional. It not my type of thing so I'll pass this one. Thanks for the incredible review.
I agree with you. This sounds like a great story, but not one for me. At least not yet. Excellent review and summary.

I can't imagine what the author has gone through, losing loved ones to an awful disease. I'm not into memoirs especially sad ones, but congrats to the author for having the courage to write this book.

What a wonderful idea to share the letter to his granddaughter. There are times when we all wish that we could see the past through letters, diaries or keepsakes from older generations or have the wish to pass these down ourselves. Thank you for the review.

I commend the author for his selflessness. He cares a great deal about others. His decision to give up his royalties to charity shows that His care extends beyond family members.

It's heart 💔 very painful experience of Richard Rees. There are difficult questions surely awaiting answers for a long time to come. Off course beautiful memories keep you going in the hope to meet Abigail sometime and perhaps a longing to join his beloved wife and daughter. An intriguing book and a good book review. Congratulations on the BOTD!
