This book merges the divergent views of science and spirituality supported by a first-hand account from someone who actually lived through a traumatic event. This is an inspirational spiritual and physical roadmap to overcoming obstacles and creating miracles in life. The book is a record of the author's life and how he overcame a series of serious challenges. These lessons can be applied by other people who are challenged by their circumstances.

Thank you for the great review, I think it inspires others to want to read the book as well.

Congrats on BOTD!
We will always face difficult obstacles in life, and we will need the support of our friends and family to get through them. In his book One Step at a Time, Mike describes how perseverance, fortitude, and endurance let him walk once more after suffering a serious accident. A motivating and instructive tale to read.

This sounds very inspirational. However, it'd lead the average person to believe that all neurological problems can be overcome by hard work. Unfortunately, that's not the case for me and many others. Congratulations on BOTD!

When I was young, my dad had a friend with a similar story. His friend was told that he would never walk again after a fall of over 40 feet. Well, my dad's friend was having none of that, and just like Mike, he did, in fact, not only walk again but is now more active than you could ever imagine. The mind is a very powerful thing. How inspiring! I enjoyed your review.

In your review, you suggest this book is for people who are quadriplegic or feel down about life. As I'm neither, I question if this is the right book for me. I am a little nervous that it's heavily religious as that's what the preface and forward seem to suggest.

"One Step at a Time: Memoir of a Former Quadriplegic" by Michael L. McCord is the story of the author's life. After a serious accident, Michael injured the neckbones in his spinal cord, which meant that the chances of him walking again were slim.

This appears to be a highly motivational story, and I congratulate Mr. McCord for telling it. I don't care much for memoirs, so I'll take a pass on this book. But my guess is that many who read it will be highly satisfied.

We have all experienced hardships at some point in life and wanted someone we could confide in and get encouragement from. Most of the time, nobody is related. At those low moments, you just need books like this. The author's story of resilience and struggle is enough to keep your fighting fire alive.

A nice motivating memoir "One Step at a Time: Memoir of a Former Quadriplegic" by Michael L. McCord, which dwells into the life incidents of Michael, and is helpful to individuals who are feeling down. I want to read this book.

We live in a world where we are told we can't do a lot of things. I'd love to see how the author broke away from that notion. Beautiful review.
