I find it amazing that Kate and Gale have such an adventurous spirit and that desire to travel at such a young age. Meg and Duke's mentality is very open. It sounds interesting to learn a little about these places they visited. It is undoubtedly an ideal read for travel fans.

The unique narrative style of 'Who Will Accompany You?' caught my attention in this review. Meg Stafford's approach to documenting her travels with her daughters brings a refreshing authenticity to the travelogue genre. I appreciate how she intertwines humor and self-awareness throughout the book, avoiding the often overly idealistic tone of typical travel narratives. The personal reflections, alongside practical cultural insights, make this a compelling read for anyone interested in the realities of traveling with family. Congrats on #BOTD.

This book looks really good. I read the sample and your review, and now I understand it better. I especially liked the part about the character's connection with a Buddhist who could offer a different perspective on life. It was amazing all around.
I value the learning process through feedback. If you have a moment, I'd be grateful for any thoughts on my work to help me enhance my skills. :tiphat:

An unbroken thread of humour made Who Will Accompany You? a delight to get through, and I appreciated the mentions of unique aspects of the different locales that made it feel as if I were really there accompanying Meg and her daughters. Profanity was present but scarce, so this shouldn’t be too large a deterrent to readers.

In her book, Who Will Accompany You?: My Mother-Daughter Journeys Far from Home and Close to the Heart, Meg Stafford chronicles her and her daughters’ trips. When Kate, her younger daughter, decides to visit Bhutan for her senior project at only seventeen years old, Meg is understandably taken aback. Two years later, it comes as just as much of a shock when Gale, her twenty-three-year-old daughter, decides to visit Colombia as an accompanier. Regardless, she supports their respective endeavours, making sure to accompany them for a bit of the way. Read on for a vivid byplay of their adventures.

Alone women on trips are always in danger. Sometimes, they can be taken away and all the parents can do is suffer because of how big the networks are. This time, parents feel a dilemma: do they say no and cage them in, or do they allow them to explore and risk their lives? Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

Thank you for an informative review.
I agree, this is a different approach, in terms of Kate's inability to connect to Tibetan Buddhism. Her experience is interesting for this very reason.
Congratulations to the author on an interesting compilation and on making BOTD!
