Although I cannot say I love cats, I can see this book works like an excellent guide to raise and take effective care of them. The portion about the history of cats is also super informative.

As a cat lover i am already excited ,great review of The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Your Cat by Jia Mau. "The book's ability to dispel common misconceptions, like the idea that cats love milk, is also commendable". Thank you for the review!

My aunt, who lives with me, is a certified cat-woman so I was intrigued at once. If reincarnation is true, I would guess she was an Egyptian in her past life. Let me check out this book for her.

This book sounds so interesting. Based on the title I wouldn't expect to learn so much about the history of feline domesticity, but that section sounds especially interesting.

The review perfectly depicts the insights the book is able to give. Offering to take the perspective of our furry animals, the book can enhance understanding and thus appreciation of the domestic felines. I really like the stance the book takes on the problem.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because I am a dog person and, since there is no chance in the world that I will ever decide to have one, all this useful advice will be wasted on me. Sorry, I will have to skip the book, but congrats with BOTD, anyway!

"The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Your Cat" by Jia Mau is a step-by-step guide for future cat lovers or those who have already become one. The book is very comprehensive, so it also deals with the health of cats, the hazards that lurk around them, as well as grooming skills.

If you're a cat lover this book will definitely help you understand your cat better. Something that stood out for me is the fact that cats isn't suppose to drink milk because they are lactose intolerant. I'm more of a dog lover but it's interesting to read and learn more about cats.

Thank you for such an insightful review! As someone who has always been fascinated by cats but hasn’t owned one yet, I found your highlights particularly intriguing. The historical tidbit about ancient Egyptians shaving their eyebrows to mourn their cats is fascinating—it really shows the deep bond humans have shared with cats throughout history.

I also appreciate the clarification on common misconceptions, like cats loving milk. I didn’t realize it could be harmful to them due to lactose intolerance. It's also good to know that vision loss in cats as they age is something to be aware of.

It sounds like Jia Mau has created an invaluable resource for both new and seasoned cat owners. Your mention of the book's professional editing and the blend of practical tips with historical context makes me even more interested in reading it. Thank you for sharing your experience with this book!

Well, this book is packed with valuable insights about cats. It provides better understanding about their mental and physical health. The portion about the history is also informative. Their godlike status in ancient Egypt is a fascinating fact. In my country, we like to joke around about cats being the masters of the house and humans being the servants. So fun, I guess. I'd love to have one or some in the future.
