I enjoyed your insightful observations, Ams Strong. I sampled this book, and I loved the examples of economic kitchen and lush forest of risky and safe assets. Your review added other interesting issues to expect from the book, like transitions from social and market economies. I agree that this is an all-star read.

The review gave a good analysis of the book. Economy between past and now as it seems different its closer than we imagine. All things are compatible to determine the economy of the future. The idea of the book is wonderful, especially with the economic crises in many countries. Congrats on BOTD

Definitely not my cup of tea, because by the way the reviewer describes the book, it sounds very complicated and way beyond my area of expertise. I don't understand economic models and honestly have no intention of forcing myself to learn. Congrats with BOTD, anyway!

It is indeed internally built in us humans to always try to secure our future. We often find ourselves taking actions only with the future in perspective. This is one of the themes in Past, Present and Future, an Economic Perspective by David Rajan
