The Bible was written under God's guidance and that is what I believe in. It may be intellectually challenging to read about the historical aspects and different views, but I firmly believe God would not allow all the billions of Christians worldwide to live by a Bible that is not accurate. I will not be able to appreciate this book. Thank you for your insightful review.

Grogan has a balanced view of Jesus telling us of his divinity but also of his humanity. This is by no means disrespecting Jesus but it does make him more relatable and it also highlights the importance of what he taught for us on a day to day basis.

"Christian Orthodoxy: A Closer Look" by Joseph Grogan is a thought-provoking, intellectually stimulating exploration of Christian theology, challenging traditional teachings with objective analysis. 4-star read for open-minded seekers.

I found the book very intense in its subject and purpose and requires comprehension and patience to read. Not taking things for granted aims to explore the meanings that lies beneath. It is using the reason for better understanding and enlightenment and ultimately to firm the religious believes and to root the soul. The review was fairly introduced and assessed the book.

I'm more eager to see Joseph's thorough scrutiny of the bile events. Though I know with the translation of the Bible from the original language some things might have been misinterpreted. I didn't know there could be more about authors. Nice review

This review is good, I appreciate your perspective on the subject matter. Being challenged to use your own critical thinking skills when it comes to religion is sometimes seen as sac religion. But I appreciate the review and the reviewer’s responses and open-mindedness. Thank you for your review.

Grogan gives them the tools to critically assess their beliefs so that they will have a more informed and personal more meaningful approach to Christianity.

The contemporary church has come under intense scrutiny in recent times. Many Christians, myself inclusive, have been asking certain questions. One of them was asked here: Is our Christianity built on Jesus' teaching or has it be watered down by tradition?

Thank you for sharing such a thought-provoking review! Your insights have me very eager to read the book as well. Some of the questions you mentioned that are in the book have been daunting to me and getting a different perspective like how you described would be amazing. I appreciate how you captured the nuances of the characters and the themes. I really can't wait to be mind-provoked. Definitely my next read.

This insightful review hits hard to present a diverse perspective towards Christianity. new testaments, its authenticity and consistency are being questioned. Several concepts regarding the understanding of this holy book have been critically analysed. I think this book will be well accepted by today's modern-day followers.

"CHRISTIAN ORTHODOXY: A Closer Look" by Joseph Grogan seeks to analyze in detail Christian beliefs from the earliest days to the present day. In this sense, the author clearly distinguishes history, culture, and interpretation from what Jesus Christ really taught.

I'm a Christian seeking deeper understanding of my faith, and this book seems to offer a very compelling perspective. It thoroughly analyzes the Old and New Testaments and questions some of the beliefs widely held by most Christians. Perhaps, the most outstanding part is how the book reminds us, Christians, of Jesus' teachings in our lives.
