I do agree with a point in the book America in Context: A Pursuit of the Exemplary by Bob Dowell, and that is that America is on the decline. There is so much confusion everywhere.

This looks like a timely book for our place in history, and an important book to read to remember our roots as a nation.

Thank you for your informative review on "America in Context: A Pursuit of the Exemplary" by Bob Dowell. This is a nonfiction book that addresses historical events in the United States. The author takes readers back in time in eight "stops," which are different chapters detailing historical figures that he considers notable. It is clear to the reader that the author believes the United States is in decline and has lost its essence and that today's Americans need to re-understand the values that founded the country. This interesting read is a great historical book that is temporarily free on Amazon and I am looking forward to exploring it. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Great review! Yes, I agree with the author that this country is in turmoil. I fear that the next four years are going to be even worse.

The reviewer covered the book's aspects. The book covers different stages of American history and is suitable as an introduction to studying it. But I am not interested in the subject so I will skip it. Congrats on BOTD

It is easy for individuals to lose their way; how much more is a country where their leaders keep changing over the years? This book is certainly an eye-opener to the government, and I hope they remember the core values that founded the United States. Congratulations on the book of the day.

This book addresses historical events in the US. It looks at notable figures such as John Winthrop, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln. It should accomplish its goal of "awakening" other Americans with simple political analysis of the events and eras discussed. Sounds interesting!
