Cyrus’s story sounds really inspiring. I’m curious to see how his determination helped him build a new life while navigating challenges in a new country. I also find the cultural background and personal journey across decades fascinating. Congrats on BOTD!

The story of Cyrus A. Ansary, the last of the Ansary family's children, is a journey through time with a man whose life has been nothing short of exciting. He had early thoughts of traveling to America. He was planning to flee Iran, his home country, while other youngsters were dreaming about other things. Cyrus took advantage of the opportunity to travel to his ideal nation, but he encountered many challenges along the road.

This sounds like an intriguing story. It's rather amazing that Cyrus didn't waiver from his childhood dream, and he continued until he succeeded. I'm eager to read the whole story to see hownit all unfolds. Thanks for a detailed review. Congrats on BOTD.

The review is positive with engaging narrative.
The book sounds like a compelling and insightful memoir that transcends a typical life story. With history, finance, economics, and general human interest themes it a highly recommended read. Congrats on BOTD

The author’s memoir covers his dream to go to the USA as a child, leaving behind his country, Iran. The obstacles he faces and the lessons he learns from his father all help him along the way. The author keeps the story crisp by not including unnecessary details.

All my ancestors, at some point in the family history, were immigrants or refugees. Only one is native to the land of our residence, therefore I am quite well versed in struggles that accompany the process of uprooting and setting up in new life. Apologies, but I don't wish to add more experience in this regard and prefer to pass the book. Still congrats on BOTD!

The most important aspect I always look for in any biographical or autobiographical material is the ability to narrate one's story without unnecessary details, making the book lengthy and repetitive, and the second is to narrate captivatingly. I am glad that this one is both interactive and entertaining and that it is a story of determination. Many thanks for the amazing review, @Kigen Valarie.

I like that Cyrus did not only dream, but also grabbed the chance to make his dream a reality. He didn't give up hope when things seemed different from what he anticipated.

From the review, Cyrus tells his story that spans across a decade. He captures details that add events to his life without lengthening it or making it boring. Writing about your life is a bittersweet experience to be cherished.

This is an interesting autobiography about a person who had a dream of leaving his country, although that adventure was not as ideal as he imagined. The protagonist of an authentic person teaches us many experiences and we see through his eyes all the journeys he had to go through and all the lessons he acquired along the way.

I'm curious why you think the pictures would be more useful if they were at the end of the book. In the sample, I thought the photo of the Iran map was useful where it was. I think the visuals are a nice touch! I was sad to learn about his neglectful infancy and a kid beating kittens for no reason.

"Odyssey of High Hopes" sounds inspiring. Cyrus leaves everything behind to start over, which takes a lot of courage. I want to read it to see how his journey turns out.
