This seems to be a rather unique book and something that I would enjoy. The 4 friends and their stories make it interesting and I.would like to see if their friendships stay intact after all they went through. Thanks for a detailed review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.

The story of the four friends sounds really inspirational, as it appears all of them went through the vicissitudes and were able to get through them all, especially with the support of their friends. The story not only shows how unpredictable life is but also about the power of having friends who are loyal and can be there in both the good and tough times. And this is a worthwhile goal and pursuit, that one does not only seek and have such a friend but to also be such a friend to their friends. Thanks for the review, @Love Ukaegbu.

A distinctive review, the reviewer summarizes the book's plot, enough to make future readers understand what they are about to delve into.

The book talks about friendship and connections, and how far true friends can go for each other on this long and uncertain road of life. The reviewer has carefully highlighted characters for future readers to look forward to while undergoing the course of the book.

A remarkable review, with qualities to buttress the quality that the book itself exudes as well.

The story of the four friends seems like a journey to embark on. It's great that they could all be there for each in their different times of need. I'll check out Zooming with the Past by Marlene Zaedyan.

In the world of AI, real stories feel close to the heart, as the emotions often connect. I look forward to reading this story about 4 friends and their journeys. Not all love stories have smooth sailing. I wonder what Anna, Camille, and Fadia encounter that changes their lives.

I enjoyed reading your review and now have an idea of what to expect from this book. The story of this author (Marlene) and her three friends (Anna, Miriam and Fadia) are inspiring. Indeed, at the end of it all, troubles may not truly break us but may even be building blocks to our success stories. I am glad this book was exceptionally well edited. I look forward to reading it.

Zooming with the Past sounds, according to the very well-written review, like the ideal book for me. I love true-life stories because it is in those that undiluted encouragement lies. I am looking forward to reading about Miriam, Anna, Fadia, and Camille — their heartaches, their challenges, and their victories over life's ups and downs. Well done to the author for BOTD

Marlene Zaedyan narrates her life story and highlights the relationships she had with three of her friends. Anna, Miriam, and Fadia were key figures in the author's life. They shaped her worldview and inspired her emotional maturity.

I deeply reasonated with the author's prologue. The changes that are taking place pose a challenge to us inhabitants of this precious planet on how we are to safeguard the world. Though I found the narratives of the four friends as a twist from the prologue, there has been drastic changes in approaching friendship currently. Most people end up being like Mariam.

“Zooming with the Past" by Marlene Zaedyan is a story inspired by a true-life story of four friends. Marlene starts the book with her thinking about the future of our planet after the damage humans have caused and she worries about what her grandchildren and their descendants will do to survive. She reflects on living through the pandemic and how she lost family and friends. This story is about the author Marlene and her three friends, Anna, Miriam and Fadia. Marlene describes how her friendship with each of her friends developed. She starts with the story of Miriam, who used to be a jovial and sweet girl until she suddenly became self-absorbed and withdrawn. After continued prodding she opened up to Marlene and she tells her what she has been going through at the hands of her father. Her father was an alcoholic and very abusive to her mother so her mother left and he began mentally abusing Miriam. Miriam decides to take matters into her own hands and save herself. Then we learn about her friend Anna who had fallen in love with Nathan, a man she met in church. Anna suffered heartbreak when the relationship did not work out. She meets Nathan again several years later and learns Nathan has a child. They reconnect but life did not go as planned and her life was about to change in ways she never expected. She left town to start afresh life. Friend number three named Fadia had fallen in love with a man named Tarek who belonged to a different religion. Her parents objected to the relationship and separated her from him. Her parents sent her away to a place Terek could never see her again. The last story is about a girl named Camile whose father worked at a vineyard. She was the friend that was always there for the other friends. She fell in love with Alain, they married and had a daughter but their happiness ended when Alain makes a drastic decision and leaves Camile brokenhearted. Marlene was there for her friends to offer support especially Anna and Fadia. This is a wonderful story about friends that really care about one another and are there for each other in dire times. The woman became very resilient and never gave up. The sample was excellent and now I want to know how Miriam ends up as well as her other close friends.
