'In this book, the readers are exposed to how deeply our division has eaten into the growth of our nations. We are divided by color, race, class, wealth, etc.'
This is a clichéd truth.

This review does a fantastic job of highlighting the depth and impact of They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself. Monica Omorodion Swaida’s journey sounds incredibly inspiring, especially in how she refuses to adopt a victim mentality despite societal challenges. I find it particularly interesting how the book explores government control and dependency—your mention of the person asked to reduce work hours to qualify for handouts really stuck with me. It’s a thought-provoking issue that raises important questions about self-sufficiency and empowerment. I also appreciate that the book isn’t just a memoir but also offers practical advice on growth, investing, and resilience. Your enthusiastic five-star rating makes me even more curious to check it out! Thanks for such a detailed and insightful review.

I'd love to read about Monica's life experiences and learn from them. I'm also curious to know how her family influenced her and shaped her into the person she is today.

" I love her way of thinking, she never carried the victim mentality or the limiting mentality that some people are classified as a minority. " I like it, inspiring and insightful. I agree with the reviewer the victim mindset impedes growth and self development. Great review of 'They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself by Monica Omorodion Swaida.

"They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself" by Monica Omorodion Swaida is a memoir that covers the author’s life and her wonderful success. We are introduced to her family which explains how Monica’s core values were developed. Monica is best described as a goal-getter woman who is also a minority. She was fortunate to have eight siblings that taught her life lessons. Monica has always been a very good listener with an open mind and she is not afraid to change or modify her lines of thinking. Her father was a forensic investigator and this had a major impact on the way she conducted her research. Each chapter of this book detail each stage of her life. I enjoyed reading about her life because it is always good to see things from a different perspective. Monica gives us a clear view of what living in a country where the government controls the lives of the people. Something we better get used to since Trump plans to control everyone’s life in America. Being a senior citizen, I never envisioned life with a dictator. I can understand why many people are going to move to other democratic countries. Millions of Americans were misled by the lies Trump promised campaigning across the U.S. Most of these people will never admit they made a mistake just like Trump. This is a wonderful motivational book.

It really helped me that the author talked about her own story first before giving her opinion on various social and political issues. I am 60 percent of the way through reading the book, and if she had not talked about where she came from and her life experience, I might have dismissed her opinions because they are so different from mine. This book makes a statement, not to take opinions completely at face value, because every opinion has a story of the person expressing it.

Well written review. It's hard to build a career or a life to yourself among various changes and challenges either social, political or economical. The author sharing her journey to success is nice. May be not all readers will relate, but may be some points will help. Congrats on BOTD
Life is hard on its own so let's make it easier for each other if we could.
