Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love.
- Albus Dumbledore

I appreciate Ms Jones's 'labor of love'. Although I like to know about a person, I'm not that into biographies.

I love the idea that his wife published his biography while he is still living- as a tribute to him. Thank you for your review.

What a lovely way to honor a loved one. I can only imagine how much the sentiment and contributions from others meant to her husband. Great review.

I love the reviewers words that your thoughts creates your belief and your belief creates your attitude, your attitude create your behaviour. I agree with the Linda Eatmon Jones that people should be celebrated during their life time.

It is cool to see what some may consider to be an ordinary receive a testament like this. Although it sounds like in many ways he was far from ordinary! Thank you for the review. :)

I am only interested in reading biographies about people that I am at least aware of. For that reason, this one is not for me, but it seems like it is a very touching book!

A true husband's character needs to be praised while he is still alive. Thanks for the detailed review and congratulations are in order for the book of the day.

I appreciate the author's love for her husband and her gesture of collecting all the essays about him from family members, friends, and colleagues. However, I rarely read inspirational biographies and everything sounds too predictable in this case. Thanks for your review, though.

This seems like a very sweet labor of love. I'm not really much for sentiment and I'm also not into biographies or personal essays, but this seems like a heartfelt legacy piece for its intended audience.

what I liked most was that Linda wrote this book to praise her husband's personality and highlight his achievements. I am very impressed by this family life, the values and ethics possessed by Earle. Earle is a great person and a good role model for others. Excellent review!

It's such a lovely gesture from a wife to write a book celebrating her husband's life, especially when he is still alive. There's clearly a lot of love involved in this. Also, the reviewer did a great job commenting the book. Biographies are not my favorite genre, but this one does sound interesting. Kudos to the reviewer!

I have never heard of this man but he sounds like a God-fearing man of his community. Interesting that he also has his downsides which were not realised by the people who knew and respected him. A pity that the book ad so many errors. I enjoyed the review and may read the book.

Written by Linda Eatmon-Jones, Touchstone celebrates the life and accomplishments of Earle Francis Jones. The author thinks that it is important to praise and honor people while they are still alive. With this book, she has taken the opportunity to honor her husband's admirable life. More than that, she hopes that "Earle's life story and his legacy provide the inspiration for anyone in any stage of their life to realize that your thoughts create beliefs, beliefs create attitudes, attitudes create behaviors, and behaviors create results."
it is the paragraph at first which has described this story a lot. I like this book in which the behaviors and attitudes have been discussed.

I guess this book can be considered "sad" and usually I don't gravitate towards such knd reading material. Although, at the same time it is judt beautiful - to love someone so much yhat they stay with us and inspire to create something to honor them.

the book clearly depicts some of the things people go through in our current lifetime. The author brought out what seemed real or near to life it was like i was also part of what happened as I could visualise what was happening through the author's work
