This sounds like an interesting and positive self-help book. I like his use of analogies and inspirational quotes within the narrative. Also the fact that he stresses taking personal responsibility.

I love the title too! I appreciate how detailed your review is...I'm tapped on the self-help books for now--in the stage of implementing some techniques, but if I'm ever in the market for this type of read again, I'll definitely pick up a copy.

Well, I rarely enjoy self-help book, and they are not really my cup of tea but I feel like I'll enjoy this book. It's might be because the tittle of the book sound funny and I also think the book's content would be same humorous as the book's tittle. Might give it a shot in the future.

That was a great review, thank you. I found all the details helpful. Reading this book seems like a straight forward opportunity to take more self-responsibility for your actions and the consequences. I especially liked your comment that it is not 'fluffy'. That is reassuring. I also like that it acknowledges how success can vary for individuals. Success does not need to be something that other people will say 'wow' about or something that measures well against the success of someone else. It's very personal and everybody starts from a different place.
Get Your Head Outta Your But's was quite a surprise for me. I expected something fluffy like most self-help books, but came away with a great deal of both inspirational quotes and notes, as well as encouragement to live my own life better. I loved that Mark specifies the importance of knowing what success is to you before going after it: success is so different from person to person. While one person may consider riches or fame success, others may want to be the best mother or father they can be, or just the best person they can be. something).
When I read the book sample I thought it was great. I also got a sense of being in a military pep talk!

I like self-help books and this one seems like a very gritty one. The title of the book grabbed my attention and was very creative. I like the tough-love approach the author used. Your review was very interesting to read. Thanks for your thoughts.

I read self-help books but there’s only so much you can read. Most are repetitive. Having said that I always read new ones. Hoping that I can get something new from this. Thanks for your review!

The title is quite interesting, but it speaks volume and the content is inspiring, I liked the part where mark wanted loan to but a car but his dad refused teaching him, important lesson of saving for us to achieve our dreams or desires.

Funny and great review! I love Daughtry and I like that the book makes use of their lyrics. If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your But's sounds like a contemporary self help book and I love that about it. I also like the sort of tough love language. "Live with intention and not by accident," love it!

The title alone would catch anyones interest. It is great to receive inspiration and encouragement but all that means nothing if you don’t actually put in the work. I’m glad the author created a balance between these things in this book. I believe many people would find it beneficial. Congratulations on BOTD

Self-help books are not to my liking. I appreciate the fact that this author does not paint the world as a sunny, rainbow life type, because life sometimes does suck, even when you are thinking positive.

The book is a No-Nonsense Guide to Happiness and Success. The author explains the secret of successful life through the quote in the book - “The secret to success is having the ability to stay focused for long periods, at the right time and for the right reason.”
The review is superb.

This review is quite flowing well with the themes and ideas in systematic way . It's also fun to read it as the reviewer has explained everything needed.
