The book sends a positive message by teaching people how to deal with the imminent death of a loved one. Bruce's decision to spend the last moments of his life together with his family and friends is a wonderful example of love and inner balance. Thanks for your review!

This memoir about struggling with cancer sounds very emotional. Life is uncertain, but I love how the author emphasizes hope. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

I feel like the review just said what the book summary said. Although I appreciated the review I don’t feel I learned anything new except that you’re a very empathetic person that’s so nice. Thanks for the review!

This seems like an emotional one. Couple going through some health challenges and making some decisions at this time may seems devastating, but those decisions have to be made. I look forward to reading this book. Nice review.

This book made me remember a quote by Mallory Hopkins: “Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.” Susan and Bruce’s choices personified these words. Under the dark, heavy clouds of Bruce’s impending demise, they went on a search of the silver linings. It’s one of the few times I have read a book about death that radiates so much positivity.
What a great quote, and so appropriate for such an inspiring story! Most of us have faced loss and grief, but not all of us can see the positive aspect of it, and that's commendable.
A lot of authors fail in the showing and not telling aspect, and it's amazing that this book presents not only an uplifting message but with high-quality storytelling.
Thank you for your great review.

I think I need to read this book. I struggle with the idea of losing people, and your observation about this being a positive book about death really speaks to me. Thank you for this review.

The story seem to give the reader mixed feelings. I like that the ending is good. Not all memoirs appeal to me, but this particular one sounds intriguing. I will read the book. Great review.

When I saw the title the first instinct was to reject. Reading about death isn't usually pleasant. But this book seems to be strongly positive. I'll keep it in mind.

Dying Well by Susan Ducharme Hoben sounds like an amazing memoir to read. I can't help it but feel for Susan Ducharme Hoben and her husband, what they had to go through. Unfortunately I won't be reading it. I will recommend it. Great review.

This book reminded me of the book 'Fault in our Stars'. But, there is a huge difference between these two books. While one is a fiction, the other is a true story. Even if this appears to be an amazing book, I'm not sure whether I'd be able read such a heartbreaking story. All the same, thanks for the great review.
