What a loss for the Claylands family. So sad that the mother died while giving birth to the author, but I feel there is something wonderful about the connection to the statue with the family. I sincerely hope the father was able to get some help. Thanks for the detailed review.

Kids are definitely affected by their parent's decisions. And taking care of five kids without any assistance from others is not an easy deal either. Memoir isn't my type, nonetheless, this seems to be an interesting book.

I hear the title, look at the cover and logically expect that this book's content will have something in common with myths and legends of ancient Greece or Rome. To be honest, I am quite disappointed it is not the case, because I definitely would have read mythology based book, but as it is will pass it since it didn't draw my interest. No offense and congrats!

It sounds like this book explores a veritable lifetime of love, loss, religious beliefs, and one very meaningful and representative statue. Thank you for your review!

A book about family is always well appreciated. The author did a good job of writing a captivating story on how parent’s decisions often have direct impact on their children’s lives. This book is a great read.

At the Feet of Serenity ~ is a memoir novel book which unfolds of personal interpretation of the experience of the Clayland family. Professionally edited.

There were sad moments where the mother died in child birth. I recommend this book to other readers of historical fictional novel book.

~ Thanks to the author

I am not a big fan of memoirs. The #BOTD presenting how parental choices affects children is an interesting perspective. Good overview about the religious aspects.

It is just sad to realise someone is struggling psychologically due to a family loss. Feeling sorry for Henry and the kids. Meanwhile, I've never know about Mormon church and that's something I'm going have to check out.

Thank you for your review. It sounds like a very interesting story. In ways I can relate with the author in that though I'm an only child, my daddy died when I was 18 months old. I might consider reading this book at some time.
