Victoria's life was no easy one. I fear that the story might have very descriptive scenes showing how much chaos religious intolerance can cause. It'll definitely be a great read.

It’s hard to believe that some cultures still blame women anytime they are the victim of any kind of crime. Thanks for the review.

The emotional problems and experiences are too terrible. Fortunately, the reviewer made this very clear in the review. I would rather not read the book right now. Congratulations on the BOTD.

This looks like a lovely book, but since I'm no real fan of faith-based literature, I think I'll take a pass. The few pages that I read, however, were very well written and immediately captured the sense of inequalities between Pakistani Muslim and Christian peoples. Congratulations to the authors on achieving BOTD.

I was very impressed reading of the presentation of the Pakistani assemblage and sneak peeks into their way of life. This is such an emotional story about a young girl who grew up in the midst of a religion different from hers. I feel sorry for the little girl and how she's had to suffer so much.

This sounds like a heavy book, rife with emotion and unresolved issues that span generations. Despite being bullied, the main character seems like she can hold her own, but she has to be careful not to jeopardize her dad's reputation. Thanks for the detailed review.

It's always interesting to hear stories about people's life experiences living as a minority; this time, a Christian girl living in a Muslim community. It would be interesting as well to know whether Victoria chose Christianity herself, or whether this was something imposed to her by the family. And whether when she would end up conforming to the majority to make her life easier (either staying in her community but converting to Islam, or staying as a Christian but moving to a different area/country). I am intrigued!

It is very difficult for me to imagine that someone has to go through such hardships just because she’s a Christian. On the other hand, I came to realize how privileged I am. I have heard some things of Pakistani culture, but there’s obviously a lot more we can learn just by reading this book. This really sounds like an intriguing story.

Thanks for a fascinating review!

The review is well written. The book tells the story of a kid struggling to live with the decision of her parents. Which is basically all of us. Am not sure whether I would read it though

Despicable Missionary by Annie Bradley follows the life of Victoria who is originally a Muslim but was converted into Christianity. Life is usually hard when one changes religion to Christianity especially when Christians are persecuted. Poor thing, I can relate to Victoria.

Victoria faced many difficult circumstances at a very young age. Her story touches on difficult themes that reveal truths that are tough to confront, yet highlight her strong character. Thanks for your honest review of this true story. I am looking forward to reading Victoria's amazing story.
