I don't like reading non-fiction, because after several tries I figured out that this type of biography and memoir can hardly be called easy reading. Then again, how many people are blessed with a carefree life? We all have our tragedies and suffering, small and big, so I see no need to share them with the public. I love memoirs because the author gets to tell their life experience how they lived them and be able to add their own spices to lighten the mood. And it seems like the author did exactly that. I wonder what the incident was when the kids were scared. I love how how through you were analysing the book. I am not familiar with the Pidgin English, so I think I will also have a challenge reading it.
