After reading the book sample and your review, it is clear that writing this memoir was a labor of love for Peter Simon Karp. Mona seems like she was a wonderful wife, mother, and teacher who touched the lives of many. Thank you for the lovely review.

A gripping account of a complex woman's brave struggle after being diagnosed with a terrible cancer. A touching book written by her devoted husband as her caregiver, it reveals the terrible unpredictability of sickness, the difficulties of navigating a medical system, and stubborn aspirations for survival.

The book was grouped into three units. I'm glad the author introduced humour despite the seriousness of the situation. Nicely written review and Congratulations on BOTD.

What a sweet tribute to a loved one. I must admit, I found it hard to keep my composure as I read through the review and preview, knowing that this book is about and in dedication to the author's late wife. She was clearly cared for a great deal.

I also believe in an afterlife in the Christian sense. I am hopeful that I will merit a room in heaven. This prospect sustains me in my everyday bout with life's troubles.

The author clearly values his wife and her memories. I have had my fill of memoirs, though, so I am not too excited to read this book.

Besides, just today I lost a cousin to cancer.

While I read through the review of this book, I felt a surge of ease. It was as though I can feel the life led by Mona, I don't know if you understand what I mean? But the feeling is amazing. I also have an idea of the author's writing style will be like, so I'm excited to read this book. Thanks for the review.

I don't quite understand why some of the letters in the title are different colors. But I appreciate how the author has such a positive view of his wife. Congratulations on book of the day!

It is rare to see a memoir of a person whose author is. other person. Here is the memoir of Mona and the author of this book is her husband, which makes me think that how well he knows his wife to write a memoir about her and her life. Interesting!

The author's rendering of the story moves retrogressively at some points and then jumps to a future event. Peter alternates between the two narrative methods to give readers some background and then pushes forward to a present status while still giving insight into the future. This narrative combo presents an overall creative picture.
I sampled this book and agreed with you. The author's technique for showing us the past and the present is very well done and, as you say, gives us a creative picture.
