Well, I think this book will be good even for those who are not interested in aviation. Cause it will teach faith and courage to keep going even when things are tough.

I'm sure that this book has a perfect audience out there, I am just not one of them. I appreciate the author taking the time to outline the different steps he took and his care for his family and friends along the way.

The book makes a powerful point about having faith in God even when things don't go your way. Certainly worth reading. Great review.

This sounds like a great book for aviation lovers. I will personally skip this one as I usually do not read memoirs.

I love books about faith in God. This book sounds like a good, inspirational read! I am also curious about the things God helped the author through. Thank you for the great review!

I expected this book to be a book of humor because of the book's title. However, that's not the case. Everyone has their aspirations in life. While we work towards achieving our dreams, we might be redirected by God. But not to worry God has his reasons and his will shall be done. Congratulations on BOTD.

"If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans" is one of my favorite quotes from Woody Allen and it is not even funny how true the saying is. It is proven on numerous occasions that I don't believe that bringing forth religion and level of faith will change anything. No offense, but I will have to pass this book, still congratulations on BOTD!

It is true God has our interests at heart. Sometimes, things may not go the way we want. That does not really mean that we won't reach our dreams. And having caring friends is important because they always take you a notch higher. Thanks for the review.

Like myself, most male readers enjoy planes and flying. I enjoyed the author's willingness to rethink his views on God.
Excellent work.

Must admit that I don't know a thing about aviation. However, I've almost always enjoyed books that deal with the author's own stories and today's book seems like a pleasant, enjoyable read.

Thanks for review. I am glad that the author never gave up, despite the challenges he faced. I do not much about aviation; therefore, I will make sure that I learn something. A story about faith is a good read.

I like reading memoirs, especially for people who didn't give up their dreams and kept persuing them.

Thanks for a good review that summed up the author's memoir with emphasis on the author's experience in aviation. How the author managed his take offs, air pockets, some smooth and some turbulent landings spelled his FAITH that pleased God and he was blessed.

Captain Jim 'Bluto' Allen is a man who has dreamed of flying since he was a child. The book represents the author's view that everything can be achieved through hard work, diligence, and faith in God.

This sounds like a great read I do enjoy reading about real people but I'm not sure how much I would enjoy the aviation side of things. So I will wait to read a few more reviews before adding to my to read list. Thanks for a great review :tiphat:
