I spend a majority of my time reading fiction, but just this small sample has me hungry for more! I've never once thought about how retirement would involve taxation nor how to prepare for it, so this was eye opening for me.

I'm so far away from retirement so I'm going to pass on this wealth of knowledge that I will revisit later on in life. Congrats to the author for writing such an informative read and for having the OBC BOTD.

Time to plan ahead 40+ years into the future with this book. You won't regret planning for your retirement. Non-US citizens might not benefit as much though.

Retirement is inevitable and so individuals who are about to retire will need a financial advisor who'll encourage them to choose the most ideal withdrawal plan that would help them become smart spender. I find this book insightful that will be useful for those who are about to retire and are living in the U.S.A.

This looks like a book to help Americans plan their retirement better. I guess people from other climes will learn a thing or two about savings and spending.

I've read a lot of personal finance books, but this one really flipped the script! Instead of just focusing on saving for retirement, Daniel W. McDonald makes you think about how to spend your money wisely during retirement. It's a refreshing approach.

When you are getting close to retirement, the concern is if you should retire or wait and if you retire, will you have enough saved to last. With life expectancy increasing, having enough to last is a real concern. Having a book that is clear and concise is a great asset and since I am one of those that is close to retirement, this book will be added to my shelf. Thank you for the great review.

Thank you for your great review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the book. It did seem well-written and easy to understand. I also like nonfiction books that provide examples. This sounds like a good resource for those getting ready for retirement. I don't believe I fit into that category, so I will pass.

Reading a retirement guide not only prepares you to better manage your money, but also increases your confidence and understanding of tax and financial issues.
