The diverse company case studies referenced, from Uber's battles to Standard Oil and AT&T's histories demonstrate the book's impressive breadth. Also the authors' commitment to supporting their analysis with cited research, charts, and data lends credibility to the book's content.

Non fiction books are not my cup of tea but the book sounds very informative. I also like that each chapter starts with a story to make it more exciting and interest the reader in the topic being discussed. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

"Launchpad Republic" seems like a fascinating exploration of entrepreneurship in America! I'm impressed by the authors' approach of weaving startup stories with political and economic analysis. The fact that they compare America's entrepreneurial landscape with other countries adds depth to the discussion. I also appreciate the attention to detail, especially with the summaries at the beginning of each chapter and the extensive research cited throughout the book. Thanks for the review!

Well-researched and filled with valuable information, today's BOTD is an informative book about entreprenuership in America and how the cultural, political, and legal frameworks allow for companies to thrive. Readers who are interested in the American entreprenuership and the business field, as well as the political and economical standings of countries outside the US, will want to pick this one up today. Thanks so much! :-)

Launchpad Republic : America’s Entrepreneurial Edge and Why It Matters’ by Howard Wolk and John Landry is a book describing the political and economic system in America or rather, its entrepreneurship edge. The book compares America to other countries, citing China, Israel, England, Japan, and many other countries, providing that America is a startup frontier. Howard Wolk, a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and company builder, and John Landry, an independent business historian and writer, write with one premise and one hand. It is evident in the stories of the Ubers, as well as other taxi companies, the struggle to come home and cope with growth. Each chapter is well-researched, and the book is filled with enough stories and citations. The book has been drawn to entrepreneurship competing across the region.

This is not something that I would read. The sample was a bit of a tedious read for me as I'm not one interested in political matters nor the so called positive impact that it has in finances. I'm sure readers that like to follow and are intrigued by these matters will really enjoy this. Thanks for a detailed review. Congrats on BOTD.

Congrats to the author! I am certain, because of the perfect OBC rating, that the book is worth the time. However, I think it's targeted at the American audience, which I am not part of, so I will pass.
