The concept is very interesting and to know that it is coming from a place of reality makes it more real and unique. I liked the resilience of author to not others decide her fate just because she could not speak. Also the method her parents used to let her have voice in middle chaos touched my heart. Voiceless but not mute, as she expressed what she felt. Despite facing troubles.

I don't read memoirs, but the author's story sounds unique and intriguing. Conquering such hardship and then dealing with adult figures who doubt one's sincerity is appalling. I admire her for her courage against such adversity.

It is saddening that disabled people are still stigmatized in society. Voiceless highlights such grievances and the author was keen to express this from personal experience. It is an emotional book but inspiration can be found along the way.

This sounds like a book that is 100% worth reading. I can't wait to know how Marie McCreadie overcame all the challenges that I am sure she faced. I have always found it annoying when people say one's illness or predicament came upon them because God was punishing them.

Why do people do that. I cannot imagine the pain and frustration the author must have felt.

Marie McCreadie's story is a testament to the human spirit's capacity for resilience and adaptability. The way she navigated a world that often seemed determined to silence her, both literally and figuratively, is a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy and understanding.

In this nonfiction book that provides insight into the author’s life during an extremely challenging time, I feel for Marie who as a teenager became extremely ill with a sore throat and eventually lost her voice.

It's so sad that Marie had to live with this new development because it must been very difficult to go through this as a teenager. Congrats on BOTD!!

The book is very touching and emotional. There are lots of Marie in our society. The people who suppose to help are taking undue advantage of them because of their impediments.

An emotional story of Marie who following a sore throat is finally unable to speak. Marie suffers ridicule from people close to her. Am anxious to learn how the story ended. A very emotional and interesting story.

Marie's story is heartwarming and insightful. Anyone who is or has ever suffered any form of disability can relate to Marie's experience. This review has triggered my curiosity to want to know why the nuns and the priests would be mean to Marie during such a difficult moment. Great job.
